Assembly Coffee has been a complete game-changer for our household over the past 5 years. The beans are always incredibly fresh, and the taste is full of character every single time. On top of that, the service is flawless: smooth ordering, timely delivery, and a team that clearly values its customers. Assembly Coffee has been a trusted part of my daily routine for years, and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Assembly Coffee consistently delivers an exceptional coffee experience. Their attention to detail in sourcing and roasting is evident in every cup—balanced, nuanced, and full of character. The flavors are clean and well-structured, with a clarity that highlights the quality of their beans. My only complaint is the shipping cost to the US.

I first tasted your House Blend at Rapha in London - fabulous. Then I bought a bag of Assembly Single House Espresso Peru on line. While I can't replicate the Rapha cup of heaven, my v good grinder and Robot machine do make a lovely cup that I'm enjoying at home...

Its my favorite coffee when I buy from Carhartt in London, but after I bought beans for my home setup, I found it difficult to dial in. After many, many attempts, I figured a 1:1 ratio was the closest I was going to get to replicating the coffee store experience, which is strange because the recommended recipe is 1:2

It was a challenging to find the perfect brewing condition with my brewing kit. I think these coffee beans are probably roasted for a slow dripper. I found that grinding the beans finer than my usual setting makes the coffee sweeter and the clarity improves. Or maybe the beans are not a 'fully washed', but have gone through some processes before washing. This is surely single origin coffee, but I doubt if it's a specialty coffee.

Truly innovative coffee roasting. Some of the best single origins that I’ve ever tasted. Appreciate the color approach to flavor, the precision of the roasts, and the relationship to the growers.

I am really enjoying exploring the different single origin, it has been a revelation and enjoying them as much as my wines single cru vineyards.

Love the coffee. Really enjoyed the ease of the subscription however disappointed that the subscription has now changed. Mine was cancelled out of nowhere, went to resubscribe and the the options were different. I could now only find an option for a big bag however as this bag isn’t resealable the beans that don’t fit in my airtight container then go stale and go to waste. Would reconsider subscribing if the packaging was to change.

Before you buy this coffee, let me warn you... if you were already a bit of a coffee snob who can't drink coffee from chains, canteens, petrol stations and cafes that don't do a pour over or a cold brew... you're about to get to a new level. These beans will ruin all other coffee for you. You will not want to live your day without your morning cup. You will dream about it, fantasise about it, crave it. Consider yourself warned...

Delicious, luxurious, amazing experience trying different premium coffees at once. It was a gift for my partner, and he absolutely loved it (he says Assembly is the best specialty coffee!)

To Whom It May Concern (though I doubt anyone there is truly concerned), I am writing to express my UTTER DISGUST and UNBRIDLED FURY at the absolute travesty you have perpetrated upon my morning routine and, indeed, my entire coffee collection. Never in my forty-three years of refined coffee consumption have I encountered such an OUTRAGE. The audacity—nay, the unmitigated gall—of your establishment to send me a product of such overwhelming superiority that it has rendered my extensive collection of artisanal, single-origin, hand-roasted beans completely and utterly OBSOLETE is beyond comprehension. Do you have ANY idea what you've done? I was FORCED—forced, I tell you—to dispose of seventeen different premium blends, including my prized Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and that Jamaican Blue Mountain I've been nursing since 2019. Straight into the bin they went, as they now taste like dishwater in comparison to your insufferably excellent product. The financial implications alone are catastrophic! Furthermore, I am now held hostage by your unreasonably exceptional quality standards. My morning ritual, once a delightful journey through various exotic beans, has been reduced to a monotonous dependency on YOUR product alone. The sheer inconvenience of having to order exclusively from you henceforth is intolerable. I demand that you acknowledge this correspondence and refer to me in all future communications as "Dear Angry of Ipswich," as I shall remain perpetually vexed by this entire affair. Most indignantly yours, Angry of Ipswich P.S. - I suppose I'll be requiring another shipment immediately, as I've already consumed half the bag in my attempts to find fault with it. Invoice me at your earliest convenience, though I do so under protest.

I’ve enjoyed coffees from Nestor Lasso before and have appreciated their potential for bright, nuanced Colombian beans. So I approached this batch with an open mind and quite a bit of excitement. Unfortunately, this round left me somewhat let down. As an experienced pourover brewer, I put these beans through their paces—trying various grind sizes, water temperatures, and brew ratios—to coax out their best. Despite these efforts, the resulting cup felt disappointingly lacklustre. The expected vibrancy and complexity were muted, replaced by a flatness that made the experience underwhelming. Sweetness was present but subdued, and overall, the coffee lacked that memorable character that would keep me coming back. The roast itself seemed well-executed—clean and consistent—so I suspect this batch may have suffered from the assembly or post-harvest processing rather than the roast profile. It’s a shame, because I was really hoping for a repeat of the lively, well-balanced coffee I’ve enjoyed previously from this roaster. In short, while I’m open to trying their offerings again, this particular batch didn’t meet my expectations for what Nestor Lasso Colombian beans can deliver.
