“I honestly can't believe what I've experienced with this company over the past 48 hours.
I ordered a collection and I waited in 9am-8pm (that was the slot given) but they never showed up. Never received an email as to why or that there was a failed collection attempt
So I cancelled and chose to drop off on Monday
I arrived at the selected drop-off location today and they said they couldn't take my parcel as it was too big (weird because I entered all of the size and weight measurements so not sure why this would have happened or why there would have even been a drop-off option if they couldn't take it)
Then, they told me to take it across town (the box is almost as tall as me) to the bigger branch as they will take it
The other post office they told me to go to didn't even accept evri parcels and they had misinformed me
So I had to pay £20 for parcel force separate to ParcelHero's services and what I had booked
So through ParcelHero - I ordered a collection AND a drop off and both were not done - through zero fault of my own
Only a few hours later, on an item sent weeks ago - I have £120 taken out of my account by ParcelHero. On a supposed 'Large Item Surcharge'
I literally have a picture of the package - it was measured correctly and weighed correctly, you can even look up the item online AND look up the box online that I had ordered (with dimensions) and see how much it weighed and that it was correct. Yet ParcelHero charged me £120 with ZERO proof that it was overweight or over-measured.
I also got this item insured to protect it from any issues. I didn't even get the option of it being returned to me? And all of their emails went to spam so I didn't even see them and got debited automatically from them.
I expect a refund immediately - this is absolutely disgraceful. the THREE times I've been let down by your company, with two separate parcels, within the space of a week. You've now taken over £100 from me. This is disgusting and you have absolutely no right to do this to people.
I will fight this refund and update this review on the response from the ParcelHero team so you can know whether to avoid or not.”
“I sent a 1859 Georgian chimney pot, well padded in industrial bubble wrap and cardboard and marked as FRAGILE through DPD. As you can see from the pictures, it arrived in pieces. This was a single piece of solid stone, with no cracks, but I marked it as fragile so that extra care would be taken.
As you can see from the pictures it was obviously dropped or not secured in the van and allowed to fall/roll around during transit and the shards punctured the protective wrapping. How else would a solid piece of stone end up like this?
A piece of of history now in pieces.
I note that the driver did not have it signed for, I wonder why?”
“I initially received a £4.50 surcharge which was taken from my account with no explanation. Something to do with non machinable
I then received a further surcharge several months later claiming that I had mis entered the size.
No proof of either incident.
They claim this was down to EVRI”
“I sent a large parcel via Parcelhero for £47
Parcel hero have now sent an unjustified ‘adjustment invoice’ for a further £120
I would not recommend this company.
Other reviewers have experienced similar experiences”
“worst company ive ever dealt with do not use this company they take money out of your bank whenever they want saying your parcels too big then when I you send them proof that the parcel was within the dimensions they ignore you”
“A Moving Nightmare: Unprofessional Service Leaves Customer Stranded
This review details an utterly unacceptable experience with ParcelHero’s moving service. Having booked well in advance and scheduled collection for my final day in town, I was left stranded and frustrated by a complete lack of professionalism and communication.
Throughout the day, I made repeated inquiries to customer care, desperately seeking the collection driver's contact information or even an estimated arrival time. However, ParcelHero not only failed to provide any contact details but also remained unable to offer a concrete collection timeframe.
Most egregiously, at the very end of the day, I was informed that the collection had been unilaterally postponed for a further three days. This left me in an impossible situation, with my belongings packed and no place to stay for the unexpected extended period.
ParcelHero’s service defies description. Their inefficiency, unethical conduct, and lethargic approach to customer service resulted in a deeply stressful and inconvenient situation. This experience is a stark reminder of the importance of thorough research and due diligence when selecting a moving company.”
“Worst courier experience I've ever had in years of sending parcels ! Do not use this company they are absolute frauds who will decide dip your bank account whenever they want and say that its a surcharge which is nonsense as I know the dimensions of the things I'm sending do not give these frauds your bank account details otherwise they think they can help themselves to your money”
“Thank you for your reply to my Trustpilot review .
If you value your customers and want to put things right , then why have I not received a reply to my letter of 13 th March and a refund of the monies you took due to your inefficiency? I look forward to hearing from you .”
“This was my first time, and undoubtedly my final one, using this company for shipping a small parcel from the UK to an EU country. Not only did the delivery arrive five days behind schedule, but they also engaged third-party customs agencies in attempts to extract additional fees. Rather than contacting customs directly, the recipient was approached by a third-party customs agent, requesting an extra €20 for customs declaration—despite having already provided detailed and clear documentation.
Upon querying the significant delay in parcel delivery, their response amounted to a mere apology coupled with a vague assurance to strive for improvement. However, the frustration didn't end there. A week following the belated arrival of the parcel, I was astounded to receive an invoice, along with an AUTOMATIC (!!!) debit card CHARGE, citing "incorrect weight and measurements of the parcel provided." This development left me stunned.
Subsequent attempts to seek clarification from the company only led to further dismay, as they charged me without possessing any substantial information regarding the discrepancy.”
