This stuff is fantastic. ---Proteckakote UV Light Grey & actually 8 1litre tins due to sick was received --- I used it for a van floor (used Flag QD metal primer after prepping the floor as best as I could) that will have wet watersports kit in all summer, most days. Not in season at time of writing this but application wise after the flag qd primer it is amazing. I had 8m2 to cover and have enough left for coat number 3, using the coverage calculator on the website. I got the 3 inch roller and the 9inch. The 3 inch was good for getting into the ribs of the floor and small areas behind the wheel arches etc... but to speed up the process I really only used the 9 and had to 'tip' the roller over to use the edge to get into the corners of the ribs. I spent about £275 on the Primer, Proteckakote and rollers so was a bit anxious initially about how to apply it and what to do. But don't worry, just stir it well and it applies really nicely. Definitely needed 2 coats of protecktakote but I don't think coat 3 is needed, but may do it anyway. The info states to not roll it back and forth, but I honestly had to as the method described (just one pass 'layering' it on) just didn't work with the ribs of the van floor. I admit I did a lot of back and forth and it still looks amazing, evenly distributed 'lumps' etc, good adhesion... I did 2 coats on the same day about 5-6 hours apart. Coat 2 was a breeze, coat 1 much more effort to apply, but no drama. I then carried on with racking and other light work on the floor about a day later, leaving it open in the nice weather to cure. Now it is dry and hardened I am very impressed. The grip is brilliant and it is friendly enough that I am not concerned about loading in surf/windsurf boards if they scrape on it - it is non abrasive but very grippy for feet/shoes. I highly recommend it - we chose this instead of Ply lining and are very pleased we spent the money on protecktakote instead of plywood! Also we called the chaps at new venture products for advise first, and just before paying to check we had the correct stuff!! They were really helpful to us 'newbies' and I recommend you do the same ;-) PS - get xylanol too. and it smells lovely!
