These are are an excellent boot for those cold wet or even cold and snowy dog walking mornings. They may be a little too warm for the summertime but as long they're worn for short periods they should be fine. There is ample room for large calves, which for my slim legs are a little too roomy, however the boot curves in towards the top so they don't flap about. They have a broad footbed which gives a secure footing and the toe area is also reinforced to lessen any accidental impact with stones, tree roots etc. All in all after half a dozen walks I've found them a very comfortable wellington boot and I can't wait until the winter to really test them out!
