I’m currently studying for live sound engineer and I’m building my home studio as I can . I treated my room with some foam but no base trap. My room is not perfect because it’s almost a square room. I was having some phase cancelations, low boost and decided to try the Sonarworks ref4 . After calibrating the room I noticed a big difference in the lows and mids which I had some boost and phase cancelations and the sound was flat . I have a set of Adams a7x monitors on top of my studio desk with some aurelex foam in between. I love the mono setting because you sit in the sweet spot and wether you move left or right on the monitors the sound still comes out in the center . When I presented my mixes to the teacher he told me that my mixes were well balanced and that it sounded really good . The teacher even asked me if I had been mixing for a while . That says how good the software is . Thank you Sonarworks for giving me the student discount and for making this software that goes hand to hand with my room sound treatment . Is a must have software for any audiophile , professional or home studio to have . “ now I can’t mix without it”.
