I am so glad that I thought to get my turkey from South Ormsby Estate again this year. 6.88kg takes a lot of oven space but I find these higher-welfare birds need less time in the oven and, with relatively little brining, stay moist and tender. The dark meat is so rich and the breast meat much more tasty than any shop bought turkey I have ever had. We were meant to have 13 round the table this year but Covid intervened and I had to send half of it to Grannie’s house for her and the cousins. Turkey got 10/10 from them, too. Second year of m my any, I hope. Well worth the expense. Thanks.
