We bought this bed to replace a low one in our 4yo daughter's room. It's a really good bed and she loves it! The main purpose of buying it was to free up some floor space, which this does very well. The ladder is angled, but not nearly as much as on some other beds we looked at, so it's safe but also takes up as little space as possible. The bed's strong without being chunky - made of slim wood and with no sticky-out bits. The bed's well made, and simple to construct. All the pieces are numbered, making the plans easy to follow. Having two people doing it was ideal, though I think it could be done with one. Only basic tools were needed. Once complete, it was also easy to move the bed around to get it into its final position - it's sturdy but not super-heavy. The final test: our daughter loves it! It's a standard size, so it fits all her familiar bedding. The plain white looks good, and the rails around the bed are enough to keep the teddies in without getting in the way of bedtime hugs. She's comfortable using the ladder and the prospect of climbing off the side without it hasn't occurred to her. If I had to find something to grumble about: if we ever need to move the bed out (moving house, redecorating etc.) there doesn't seem to be an alternative to unscrewing the 20-30 screws which hold the bed slats to the frame. A minor grumble though. All in all, this is a good bed, good value for money, measures exactly what the website says, and does just what we wanted.
