First time experience with Hoka brand as well as Carbon plated running shoes.
Originally tried Hoka One One Carbon X in the "Run and Become" Victoria branch and found them comfortable enough despite my wide feet.
As I knew that Carbon X2 were being released soon, I decided to wait until they would become available from these guys.
I am yet to put them to the real test in terms or running in them various workouts, however a few points to note:
- they came slightly larger than Carbon X ( I settled for UK11.5 in X2 whereas it was size UK12 in original Carbon X that suited me)
- I have wide feet and Carbon X2 suited my foot, the sole is wide enough as well and you feel stable
- a lot of online reviews and videos suggest that X2 is a huge improvement on the X, hence I decided to give it a try; none of the Nike carbon plated running shoes fitted me due to my wide feet and those models have a rather narrow/ unstable sole from my experience.
