Hi Katherine, Thanks for leaving your review. We have looked into the issues raised and can confirm that unfortunately the delivery was delayed as the item that you ordered were actually out of stock with the manufacturer. You were advised of this via email the day after making your order. As you no longer required items on your order as stated in our terms and conditions the cost of the return postage is in fact down to yourself. “Excellent order service let down by lack of information on delivery. Telephoned and had to leave message after several tries as just ringing out to warn may not be at home for delivery and then it turned up on doorstep a quarter of an hour later without any warning. Good follow up on left message and lady very apologetic and said we should have had a message re delivery. In the event all ended up well. Thank you.”

“Bought a shower screen which was great value. After purchased within 10 minutes a phone call was received to arrange delivery which was thought was amazing service. Unfortunately that’s where it stopped. Delivery date came and went, and after a phone call got told another date with an apology. Again this date came and went. After a 2nd phone call another date was given to me and 3rd time lucky the shower screen arrived. As I had to book time off work the saving I saved was wiped away from loss of earnings. Would not purchase from here again”

“This review is about Bathroom Village as a stockist of sanitaryware and bathroom furniture. I was contacted the very next day after placing an order to arrange delivery. The items arrived promptly at 7 am well packed and delivered by an excellent courier who delivered the items into the house. Would definitely buy again from Bathroom Village. The items I ordered a vanity unit and basin from Britton bathrooms are very good quality, beautifully packed and look good. I liked the brand and would buy Britton bathroom furniture again.”

“Due to a change of plans we ordered the wrong size shower door. Contacted Bathroom Village they said as the doors had not been dispatched they would change the order immediately and credit the difference. Doors arrived two days later and the credit was posted back to our account. Excellent Service”

“Excellent service and delivery of our Britton Verde Double Ended Bath - Cleargreen / 1700 x 700mm - only disappointment is that I wish I had ordered the 750mm version as the rounded end is a bit tight round the shoulders due to the design”

“dreadful communication, items not sent when already pre-arranged, continued chasing for items to be delivered, no notification when items are delayed beyond the initial delay dates, very frustrating company to deal with, still waiting for items purchased in June !!, plumbers having to make multi trips for installation increasing costs to be paid by me”

Hi there, Thanks for taking time to leave a review, we appreciate your feedback. We have looked into the points that you have raised and are sorry that you have been frustrated by the service you have received. Just to confirm ..... You have stated that items did not arrive that were pre-arranged. As per your email to us 19/7 you thought that you were missing items from the order that you were expecting. We clearly stated that the only items that were missing from the order were the items that were out of stock with the manufacturer that you were made aware of after placing the original order. You were sent an additional email containing the revised dates of the items that you were waiting on, did this come through to you?? Throughout the whole process we have part dispatched your order to you to ensure that as soon as items were available they were sent on to you to avoid any further delays. This was at additional expense to us. You have said that you have incurred additional charges from your installer. As stated in our terms and conditions that you agreed during checkout we strongly recommend that you do not arrange any fitters or installers prior to receiving your goods as unexpected delays can occur or items can sometimes arrive faulty/damaged. This will mean that we would be able to rectify any issues for you prior to installation and so no additional costs would be incurred. Why would you arrange for installers to fit goods that you haven't received? We are concerned that you have said you are still awaiting for items from your order. We can confirm that your order has been fully processed and dispatched from our warehouse. From the tracking information provided by the courier all deliveries have been delivered and signed for. Please give us a call if this is not the case and we will be more then happy to follow this up for you. We hope that your bathroom renovation is going well and as planned. If we can assist you any further please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind regards

“The company has a very restrictive return policy which is not clearly noted. This takes advantage on anyone having deliveries to a construction site, and unable to check the delivers within the 14 day period. The company then charges 35% restocking charge! Great for them as they can make more money off an item at the consumers expense!”

Thanks for taking the time to write this review and sorry to hear that you have had issues returning the item to us. We have looked into the situation you have commented on and can confirm that you placed the order with us 25/8. The order was fully dispatched from our warehouse and delivered to you 4/9. As per your email on 22/9 you informed us that the plans that were done by your architect were incorrect and because of this had ordered the incorrect size item. As per the terms and conditions that you agreed to during checkout we operate a 14 days return or exchange policy and so unfortunately had notified us of the return outside of these timescales. Upon your request this was referred to a manager who contacted the manufacturer of the item ordered to see if they would in fact except the item back from us. This was agreed by them as a gesture of good will however it would incur a restocking charge of 35%. As this was a mistake on your part this charge will unfortunately be passed on to you. We have a set amount of time to return unwanted items to manufacturers which is why we operate a 14 day policy. Anything that goes back to them after this time will result in restocking charges. Please note that this restocking charge does not go to us and so we will make no additional money from your expense. Might be worth speaking to your architect who provided you with the incorrect measurements to reimburse you of these costs. We hope that your planned refurbishment is all going well, should there be anything else you need assistance with please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards
