“Everything you need on your doorstep. A nice lodge with hot tub, boat hire a few yards from the lodge, nice country walks along the river and an onsite pub/restaurant. Would recommend and will be back :)”

“Just back from a very relaxing weekend at WRC, accommodation very comfortable, we found all staff to be helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our trip on the day boat regardless of the weather. We had two lovely meals at the Waveney Inn, thoroughly recommend eating there.”

“Had lovely weekend in Waterside lodge. Enjoyed hot tub, pool and hired a boat. All staff were helpful and informative. Only minor comment is large spiders web filled with dead flies and other spiders in living room in corner by sofa on the curtain. The batteries for the DVD player remote don’t work but l have taken them out so you’ll see them. Kitchen was well equipped and living room comfortable and cosy in the storm! Would stay again.”

“The accommodation was not to high standards by far, very tired looking the gas hob was not working most of the time, the outdoor area still had rubbish in it when we arrived, holes in walls, dirty kitchen wear, dirty toilets when we arrived! Also we pre booked breakfast on Sunday and there was no booking so they turned us away, this is our 3rd visit and we won’t be returning which is unfortunate because we like the location!”

“We stayed at Marsh View Lodge which was lovely with an amazing view! Only negative comment would be the Park needs to update the website and paper work as ours said check out 9am so I left the night before so didn’t get caught in work traffic but when I got home I got an email to say check out was 9.30am and it says you can order takeaway from Waveney Inn but you can’t and the orders@ email doesn’t work because they’ve stopped that service which was a bit frustrating when the weather was terrible and we didn’t want to go out. Will definitely be back!”

“We really enjoyed staying at Waveney River Centre. The lodge was spotlessly clean and the welcome pack was extremely well received. The staff we happy to help when we had a hot tub enquiry and we’re quick to help. My only dissatisfaction was the late check in time and early departure time. I understand the time needed to sanitise etc, but other places we have visited do not seem to have such long turnovers”

“Our first visit here, what a lovely little secret this is. We were welcomed very warmly and all staff were very helpful and friendly. Love our pitch had a lovely view of the river. Cannot wait to visit again.”

“Such a lovely spot-glad we discovered it! Friendly helpful staff, really enjoyed meals at The Waveney Inn. On site facilities great and we could use the pool safely every day. The lodge was lovely spacious and clean and well equipped. A lovely relaxing break and as we could take our cat who needs thrice daily medication it was perfect for us. We will be back!”

“Clean site but very remote. We had the Aldeney Lodge and after staying in many lodges was a little disappointed. Lodge was very tired and if honest not cleaned up to the standard we are used to. ( Open some of the windows and look round the frames, and also the bathrooms in general ). Staff on site great and we used the day boats twice which was thoroughly enjoyed. Looking at other lodges on site and the pictures of the Marshside Spa we booked are a bit mis leading. The hot tub was great and apart from our slight disappointment with the lodge we had a good 4 break away.”

“Staff are excellent and friendly. Unfortunately the lodge (thorpe) and hot tub did not in anyway match the visuals on the booking website. The website showed a very nice hot tub on a balcony overlooking open countryside. None of the Retreat spa accommodation had such a layout. This could be classified as misleading advertising and create serious consequences. I will be taking this up with Hoseasons with whom I booked. Very disappointed the lodge did not match the one advertised. I do intend to take this further.”

“All round service of staff excellent. Not enough dog waste bins or rubbish bins. Disappointed with lack of products in shop as quite a distance to stock up on every day products. Food very good in pub. We had a few problems in lodge but this was quickly rectified by staff. Over all a great stay.”
