Should have read the reviews here but looked at moneyexpert website and review implied all was above board. Absolutely not. Impossible to win. Every bid costs but it doesn't make it clear. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Cheating, dishonest, please! please! don't fall for these cheating bastards, you can easily click on and unknowingly obtain too many credits that you didn't want by these tricksters. My wife, who is in her 70's mistakingly clicked on 3 x £58 worth of credit when she only wanted one and didn't realise the credits were spent up within 2 days before she could do anything about it. These modern-day 'Dick Turpins' show no mercy whatsoever and wouldn't listen to having her mistaken over purchase of credit's refunded, saying there was none left and had all been used. £174 taken from an elderly pensioner who tried to purchase something for her grandson and has now given it to these ruthless, heartless robbing scum bags.

If I could give zero I would. Total con and nothing more than theft. Registered, bought £100 of credit, kicked out and unable to access my account 2 hours later, so unable to change any settings. Complained, by the time they responded 12 hours later, my money had been spent for me. They say they don't owe me anything, I believe they have stolen my money. Don't be an idiot like me, don't give your money to a bunch on con artists.

How I wish I had read the reviews before responding to an unsolicited e-mail and being 'hooked' (line and sinker). £50 of credit was wasted because it just entitled me to gamble on an auction win - with which I had negligible chance of success. This only becomes apparent once you have signed up. I had remembered what I thought was a Money Saving Expert recommendation so was willing to trust Swoggi but it now appears that I has read a fake site. I've closed my account and requested a refund. I may lose a £15 admin fee (or more) but these crooks are not getting a penny more out of me. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SITE

First timer I`m afraid. Didn`t read any of the reviews stupid boy! Wasted £50. You live and learn but have just received my C/C statement and it seems I spent a further £50 at some point! So of course I am in contact with Swoggi and I await their comments. However what pisses me off is why are the national papers flogging it? Just because their journalists have played and won its then OK? Scam, fraud, something is not right and somebody should be on the case asap!

went bidding for i phone, put in required deposit, did not win, after deducting their fees i should have had about £15 back, guesss how much i got back ZERO! Totally swindling company, Good reviews are likely to be Swoggi people themselves. Take my advice don't get involved in bidding with swag. Only thing they will give you is Zilch and take all your money. It is a free money making company. Ombudsman probably not bothered as well i bet

I've played and watched swoggi for several years. I have also read lots of bad reviews about the site. The reviews are correct in may ways, you play it and you will lose money. I won several items including this iPad I'm writing this review on, but I lost out over the total time I "gambled". Yes, it is a gambling site and yes, the same old names win the vast majority of the really desirable items like computers, phones etc. When you sign up, you will be bombarded with emails, many stating that people have won at bargain prices. Most don't. I don't need to list these as many others have. Is it a scam? No. Any sensible person tempted by this site's publicity would watch and learn before committing money to it. Those who have not done their homework will call it a scam. Those who realise the risks will not buy credits. Some like me will have a pop and eventually get burned. Those who dive in without assessing the risks will call it a total scam. Pay your money and take a chance? Don't. You are far more than likely going to lose, especially if you go for the premium items and go up a against the big hitters that will pay over the odds to win. Swoggi relies on people like us to keep their venture going. The best way to hit back is not to play their game. If you do play, expect to lose lose lose. THe other old chestnut is whether the habitual winners are really robots functioning for Swoggi, or even paid employees. Who knows, but they seem to have far more money than sense. I have long suspected this but then again there also seem to be some serious Swoggi addicts. My advice is to steer well clear.

Having researched Swoggi over the internet, this practice looks more and more like a gambling site as well as a scam with the same people winning 8 times a month, their activity has been recorded over the past 9 weeks, you can see for yourself below their activity, it is suspiciously like insider trading which is illegal across the world, working out of virtual offices, in both the Uk and Singapore, no contact telephone numbers and no response to emails. Username GANDALF is very peculiar 4 items purchased this month August 2014 were all £1 bids on swoggi.co.uk and yet GANDALF somehow was accumulating bid spending of 50P per bid, when everyone else were being charged £1.00. see for yourself: Sadly Hyperlinks ar not allowed (360 £1 bids = £180) (638 £1 bids = £319 ) (440 £1 bids = £220) (784£1 bids = £392) This also applies to username: claudiodalsa: (2148 £1 bids = £1074 ) now why would someone place 2148 £1 bids in addition place 1920 free bids ? on an item that you could purchase for £1449? The final price of this item was £203.46 remove the decimal point and you have your answer, the capital asset when sold was £20549.46. Who would pay £2351.46 for an item costing new £1449,? If you check out the Swoggi UK Facebook page you will see that wap24 won two items one in £ sterling and one in Euros. In my opinion it is very hard to win one item using a penny auction within one country, but when you are competing with 13 it is nigh impossible and yet many users rack up 8 wins per month and they are,: Username: tilthendoftime Username: wingsgirl300 Username: mammola Username: claudiodalsa Username: onemoretime Username : gandalf Username: karinebo39 Username : mistertarzan Username: titus123 New multiple winning usernames appear every month. these people can only be using insider knowledge. Interesting that user name gandalf appears on Swoggi. He also wins a lot on Madbid.

This is a complete scam. I signed up to in the hope of getting a cheap phone. I spent £58 bidding on an item to come away with nothing. Eveytime the auction comes near to finishing if someone bids again they add more time and this just goes on and on and on. There is no way of winning a bid without spending a fortune.
