HOWEVER ON THE THIRD OCCASION I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE AMOUNT AWARDED - A FULL BAG (BURSTING AT THE SEAM) CONTAINING VERY DECENT CLOTHES AND SHOES EARNT JUST £2!!! WHY??

Dear Ms. Clapham, The value of second hand clothing is quite low. We pay a very competitive rate of 60p per kilo. I see that you also took advantage of our Facebook promotion and received 70p per kilo of your used clothing, We do advise all customers to weigh their items prior to collection so that they can estimate their payment and ensure our service is worthwhile for their needs. Furthermore, we provide a free collection service from anywhere in the UK so that our customers do not need to go out of their way to find a drop off facility. You received almost £7.00 for approx 10kg of clothing, which is very close to the 70p per kilo rate. We did reject 1 kg of your items due to bobbling, dirt and stains, as documented here. http://www.returntoearn.co.uk/crm/Image_Gen.php?imgpath=RejectedImage/150311/10032518&ordno=10032518 Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We do appreciate your feedback. Best Wishes, R2E

Dear Mrs. Gibbs, We are somewhat concerned that you are dissatisfied with your Return to Earn experience. We were able to accept 100% of your clothing as it was of very good quality. You were paid in full for all of your items, 10.88kg which amounted to £6.52. We are constantly seeking to improve our service. If you could let us know, what specifically you were unhappy with, we would like to address it. Best Wishes, The Return to Earn Team

i went to a lot of trouble washing drying and ironing the clothes. Some were hardly worn and from the higher end of the market (not designer) It was probably my fault but I could not believe how little I got for the clothes. I would have been better selling on Ebay or in fact just giving them to the Charity shop. Admin side of things good, but return in terms of cash pointless

Dear Ms. Francis, Thank you for your comments. We do understand that the value of second hand clothing is quite low. We purchase all clothing in bulk, with all items being treated as equal in value. The advantage of this is that customers may estimate their payment in advance and decide whether or not this service is suitable for their needs. You sent us 9.37kg of clothing, which means you could have received a maximum of £5.62 for your items. We had to reject one kg of clothing due to bobbling and staining as these photos document. Your payment after these items had been removed was £4.98. http://www.returntoearn.co.uk/crm/Image_Gen.php?imgpath=RejectedImage/152126/10033703&ordno=10033703 We would suggest that if customers wish to receive more money for individual items, eBay would be better for their needs. The money you get for large quantities of clothes is pitiful.

Dear Mrs. Peckham, We are sorry that you did not find your payment to be satisfactory. Unfortunately the value of second hand clothing is quite low. We pay our customers 60p per kilo and we are also running a promotional rate for our Facebook fans, which allows customers to be paid at a rate of 70p per kilo. We would recommend that all customers weigh their clothing prior to collection to estimate how much they will be paid in advance. If you are not happy with this amount, then we would suggest using an alternate service. You sent 12.96kg to us which amounts to a payment of £7.78. We had to reject several items, due to staining and wear as these photos document. These items were disqualified from payment, so that your total amounted to £7.00. http://www.returntoearn.co.uk/crm/Image_Gen.php?imgpath=RejectedImage/151492/10032925&ordno=10032925 Thank you for your comments. We appreciate you taking the time to review your experience. The Return to Earn Team

The first bag i sent i was offered a good/fair price for but the second and third bag i did not. I was told items were damaged and worn (which they were not, they were the same quality as the first bag!!) and i was not happy with the response when i complained. Complete con artists and i will not recomend this company to anyone !!!!

This firm`s integrity is non existent. Having sent back a full blue bag of very good quality clothing, some of which had never been worn and still had labels attached, I was sent only £2.50. There was no negotiation of whether or not I would prefer the items to be returned to me, or which items had been considered substandard. I had made sure that all used items were clean, dry and neatly packed in accordance with the rules. I would advise you not to believe this firm`s promises. I certainly will not be sending any more clothing to them.

Dear Ms. Roberts, I am sorry that you have not found our service to be satisfactory. I wanted to investigate this matter further to ascertain where the discrepancy had taken place. I can see that you placed several orders with us last year. We accepted 100% and 79% of the clothing in your first two orders, for which you were paid £11 and £7.22 respectively. Unfortunately in your last order with us, the clothing was of poor quality. Much of it was damaged and stained and we could only accept 41% of these items. I have included a link the photos of your rejected items so that you may see why they were unsuitable. We do always provide photo documentation, when we reject clothing so that our customers may have a transparent understanding of the process. http://www.returntoearn.co.uk/crm/Image_Gen.php?imgpath=RejectedImage/153748/10039513&ordno=10039513 Unfortunately we cannot return items once they have been sent to us. We do make this clear on our website and in the Terms and Conditions, to which you agreed when you registered with us. As soon as the bags arrive on site, they are processed to ensure customers are paid within 1-2 days. The items in a bag are sorted into their relevant categories ie. Men’s, women’s, recycling etc. The items are not stored in the individual bags in which they arrived. As such it is impossible to recover all the items in a bag and return them. This is why nothing is returned, once it has been processed. We do appreciate your comments. We are constantly striving to improve customer satisfaction. Perhaps we can make it more explicit that items cannot be returned to our customers. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Best wishes, The Return to Earn Team

Dear Mrs. Aistrop, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I wanted to investigate this matter further to ensure you had received the payment you were due. From our records, I can see that you should have received an M&S e-voucher on 17/04/2013 for £11. WE have a receipt from M&S to confirm that we did indeed pay for your e-voucher. The e-voucher would have been sent to you via email from M&S directly. We accepted 99% of the clothing you sent to us. They were of very good quality. It would be very disappointing indeed if you did receive compensation for your clothing. If necessary I can contact Marks and Spencers to see if they can reissue this voucher to you. Could you please confirm that you did not receive it to this email address? kaistrop@gmail.com We will resolve this matter for you. Thank you for your comments. Best Wishes, The Return to Earn Team

Dear Ms. Hayes, I am sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with your Return to Earn experience. From our records I can see that we accepted 93% of the clothing you sent to us and you received £8.43 in return. We rejected just under one kilogram of clothing because several items did not meet our purchase criteria. I have included a link the photos of these items so that you may see why they were unsuitable. http://www.returntoearn.co.uk/crm/Image_Gen.php?imgpath=RejectedImage/154180/10036162&ordno=10036162 If you would be so kind as to let us know why you were disappointed, we can investigate the matter for you. We are constantly striving to improve customer satisfaction and we would really appreciate your comments. Best Wishes, The Return to Earn Team

Way too much stuff is turned down due to marks and bobbles. At 60p a kilo they should be accepting more. For example a worn item from fat face, white stuff or boden should be completely acceptable as that is how they are. If it was all from Primark then I would accept it, but I even had expensive jumpers from All Saints refused when they were still wearable. A jumper has bobbles after one wear! Wont be using again!

Dear Mrs. Stocker, Thank you for taking the time to review your Return to Earn experience. We wanted to reach out to you and discuss your comments as we are always seeking to improve our service. You placed two orders with us and had 59% and 87% of your clothing accepted in these bags. I can see that of the items which were rejected, there were several reasons which prevented the items from being suitable for purchase - namely heavy wear, bobbling, damage and staining. I have included links to both sets of photographs of the rejected items below. http://www.returntoearn.co.uk/crm/Image_Gen.php?imgpath=RejectedImage/155670/10038723&ordno=10038723 http://www.returntoearn.co.uk/crm/Image_Gen.php?imgpath=RejectedImage/155670/10038009&ordno=10038009 We do understand that second hand clothing will have some wear. However we sell the clothing to be re-worn and as such, we are only able to purchase second hand clothing in very good condition. If clothing is stained, damaged or bobbled its value depreciated to such an extent that we cannot feasibly sell it. This is why such clothing is disqualified from purchase. We do try to make our purchase criteria as explicit as possible to potential customers. We provide our purchase criteria three times prior to collection - on our website, at the bottom of the registration form (where you must tick a box to confirm you have read them) and once more in the letter you received from us. If you have any suggestions on how we could communicate them more effectively, we would be grateful for your thoughts. Best Wishes, The Return to Earn Team

Dear Ms. Mehta, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with Return to Earn. I am sorry to hear that you did not receive payment for your bag and as a result were disappointed with the service. I would like to explain why we cannot pay for bags weighing less than 10kg. Transporting the clothing is quite an expensive process. In fact the costs associated with transporting the items, can quickly outweigh the value of second hand clothing, which is quite low to begin with. If we do not receive at least 10kg of clothing, we actually experience a loss on our end. If we were to pay for all underweight bags, this loss would become significant and we could not operate. We do try to make the 10kg minimum as clear as possible to customers. It is listed on our website, in the letter which is sent with the bag and once more when the collection is scheduled online. We would advise all customers to weigh their bags prior to collection to ensure it meets this threshold. We will certainly take your comments on board and try to make it even clearer to customers that we impose a weight requirement. Furthermore, we rejected a number of your items which failed to meet our purchase criteria, due to heavy staining and damage. I have included a link to the photos of these items so that you may see why they were unsuitable. We want to be as transparent as possible when we reject any clothing. http://www.returntoearn.co.uk/crm/Image_Gen.php?imgpath=RejectedImage/151540/10032979&ordno=10032979 It appears as though, you have not fully understand our purchase criteria. We would be grateful if you had any suggestions as to how we can communicate these more effectively to improve customer satisfaction. Best Wishes, The Return to Earn Team

Disappointed to earn nothing despite filling a bag full of clothes, shoes & accessories. I was almost certain it was at least 10Kg. Lesson learn't. Weigh the bag before ringing for a collection and read the Terms & Conditions.
