Absolutely hopeless both on line and on the phone. I have banked with them for years. Spent numerous hours trying to navigate their system and up load information. The have suspended my account 3 weeks before Christmas. The telephone team still cant explain why and the on line portal does not provide a clear explanation of what information they.require.

I have held an account with Nat West since 1969. I have not been overdrawn for over 25 years. I tend to live sensibly within my means and do not use credit cards. I decided to apply for one via Nat West. They actually asked me to prove who I was even though I have been a customer for 53 years. After 6 weeks + I had not heard from them. Upon contact I was told that they hadn't bothered to proceed with the request. I also have a deposit account with this bank which always holds more than the credit limit I was requesting from Nat.West. This bank used to give customer service they now show no appreciation whatsoever to loyal customers.

Absolutely terrible bank. They messed up my loan repayments and they are expecting me to pay for their mistake. Law suit! They broke our agreement and they expect me to pay them for what they messed up. I have never missed a payment in my life untill natwest screwed me over. Stay away from these terrorists.they broke our agreement and arrangement, they lied to me consitantly, what created more issues. A issue they created. And they want me to pay them back the erras they created after they lied, missinformed, misleading and failing to contact me to tell me this and that is happening as we agreed upon. Im taking natwest to court and By god help me i WILL sue you for your lying and incompetency and lack of professional integrity, Michael Howes! Utter financial theiving terrorists.

I hold 2 mortgages and bank with yourself for 18 years. i have via my parent's property applied for a remortgage, the property in question 33 Wolseley Road West Bromwich B70 0NQ under application 84469640 the valuer advised that this home may have been a PRC home where a local authority conducted work etc to make it structurally correct, i reached out to the local council who advised. "This property would have been refurbished whilst being a council house as we have no Building Regulation application registered. These works would have been supervised by the Housing Dept who would have dealt/held the PRC certificates. I have been asked this several times previous and the Housing Dept has informed me that they no longer hold these certificates. The only alternative you have is to contact one of the providers of these via the internet. Regards Tina Hollingworth Deputy Land Charges Officer Sandwell Council" so, i reached out to a PRC provider who only issue a certificate to PRC house that has had a licensed PRC repair. Mortgage lenders rely on the certificate to confirm that the PRC repair has been carried out to a mortgage approved scheme. i paid £1200 for this as a structural engineer also visited to ensure the property was repaired correctly, the company issued a PRC certificate which i sent to Natwest. A few days later Natwest advised they need to see the repair to the adjoining property, as this property is a semi-detached house. now the property i want to re-mortgage has the repair nevertheless i contacted the neighbour and paid £1200 for another engineer to come out and issue the certificate for next door i gave that to the neighbour as good will as they have lived there 20 years and weren’t aware they need this. so, I have paid for 2 certificates £2400 and now been told that I need to request one from another company, why are you telling now after paying for 2 certificates couldn’t you tell me at the start who you would like to see this from? The company I have got the cert from is a verified home provider they have issued the cert why cause all this headache, there would be a simple solution for you to issue the mortgage out.

Absolute Joke!!! Block access to all my accounts 48 hours ago with no warning or explanation. I have no access to money or Payee details, not to mention declined card payments and direct debits. After numerous phone calls I'm told a certain department with no name or contact number will be in touch.....Still waiting. I will be switching my accounts and I would think very carefully before opening an account with these utter clowns

I visited a branch to get help opening up my account. I tried doing so online but the process was difficult as the documents that need to be approved can be easily rejected because of lighting or "low" quality. I thought visiting a branch was going to be easier and quicker. Instead, the workers in the branch were extremely unhelpful and rude.

Recently I was refused a £5000 withdrawal at my branch, although my account was in credit, the staff wanted to see invoices etc to prove I needed to withdraw cash, although I had agreed 10 days previously with head office that I wanted to withdraw this amount. Quite rightly I refused to divulge why I wanted to withdraw my money. Eventually they 'allowed ' me to withdraw a £1000. I felt humiliated by the offhand way I was treated by the staff. Last week I received a letter restricting the amount of cash I can pay into my account each day using the post office. What is the purpose of a bank if not to pay in and withdraw money? Over the years I to have had numerous problems dealing with NatWest, but resisted changing banks, however, enough is enough, yesterday I signed up with Nationwide Bank, after 40 years, with both personal and business accounts with NatWest, my account will close at the end of October, Nationwide also gave me a £200 signing on fee, Thank you, and good riddance NatWest

Today I used a Natwest Cashpoint (Washington Galleries). I asked for (my last) £200. The machine grumbled on, spat my card without any cash out with a receipt reading you have not been debited, although I have been debited and am now fundless. Several trips inside the branch later the Manageress basically told me I could make a claim against the branch in a day or two, but not with her help. My bank asked for a release code to try and get the money back to The Manageress refused to help here either. Awful shameless behaviour.

You are actually terrible. My grandfather is 90 and cannot access his money. He has been a customer of yours for more than 30 years. We have tried to get in touch with you since March 2022. It is now September 2022. He still cannot access his bank account in Jersey. I do not recommend this bank account at all.

If I could give this bank less than one star I would do so in a heart beat. My dreadful experience with this bank began when my Dad who held an account with NatWest passed away on the 31 July 2022. It’s now the 16th of September and this bank still has not transferred my dads account to me. I’m his sole next of kin, there was no Will and my dad lived in council accommodation. My dad didn’t have thousands but he had enough to pay for his funeral etc. I originally was promised that my dads funds would be transferred within two weeks; so I felt reassured that I could pay for my dads service, but two weeks went by and still no transfer, so I called into my local branch in Barnsley where I had to sit and wait for an hour before the correct department answered the call that the employee was trying to put through. When they answered the call I was told that it would be another 10 days for the funds to be transferred. Because of this my husband and I scraped together the money via credit cards and some small amount of savings we had to pay for the service. I was then told I would get the transfer on the 13th September, so I was relieved as I could pay the credit cards etc but the 13th came and still no transfer. I called the bank again and explained that I was in a tricky position and desperately needed the transfer to take place. I was told that I was never told I would get it in the 13th and pretty much called a lair. This really upset me as I was told that date and said it should be recorded. But the employee carried on calling me until she finally said She would put my case through as an urgent case and said the money would be in my account by Friday. I called the bank back on Thursday as I wanted to ensure the money would arrive, considering my past disappointments, I was then told that an urgent case takes 5 days to clear. I reiterated my position and asked to speak to someone in charge, but I was told I couldn’t speak to anyone but I was advised to carry on checking my bank. I called the bank back today Friday 16th September and I was told my dads account had been moved to closure and reassured the money would be transferred at 6PM. It’s now 8PM and no transfer has taken place and it’s a bank holiday on Monday, so I have no idea now if and when I will get the small amount of money my dad had. Let alone the sadness of this situation I’m also grieving my dad and keep having to repeat myself time and time again opens up all the emotional loss I’m feeling inside. This bank do not care for the general public, this bank is fraudulent and this bank lies: I urge anyone to seriously look at their practices when dealing with bereavement, I’m as pretty sure there are hundreds of people feeling the exact same. Do not trust this bank, please bank anywhere other than with NatWest !

NATWEST has frozen my parents bank account, with no warning and no one prepared to say what has happened. They are both elderly and highly vulnerable. My mum is wheelchair bound and has the beginnings of vascular; my dad is registered blind. All their state pension and benefits gets paid in to this account and their bills go out of this account. What NATWEST has done has left my mum and dad without a penny to their name, having to borrow money off family which is extremely distressing for them both. Tomorrow, I will be getting in touch with their MP (Mari Rimmer) and Citizens Advice. Shame on you NATWEST!

They never renewed my credit card on time. One month later I am still trying. 3 hours past today trying. They now want me to prove who I am via HooYu. I have read reviews for HooYo and no way am I going down that path or indeed jumping through that hoop. Oh well a change of bank account I suppose after 40 years with little problem. I am not to sure if any humans still work there anymore I only get to talk via text and there is even a queu for that.

Their international service is by far the worst I have ever experienced. If you have na issue abroad, you cannot access their international app as DOES NOT appear in the google nor the app stores in countries such as Brazil, and be prepared to wait for more than three months to receive an activation code for your account if you forget your password or have to access your account on another device. Terrible service overall, the international phone number is always busy and the online agents tend to live in India, therefore their contact with the company headquarters is limited and simply repeat the same steps of "please download the app and wait for the activation code to arrive in the post."
