“First time ordering from Hobbycraft, placed an order for £75+£6.50 delivery. Tracking number was sent the following day but that was 4 days ago. Used web site contact form and was told delivery would be today but today myhermes tracking says they're 'expecting it'. No idea from here. I may use in store but won't be using them ever again for delivery.”

“Never recomend this company to anyone!!!! They are thief!!!! Dont waist your time and money. The worst experience ever in my life!!! Per 1 month time they didnt'deliver any of 3 expensive parcels. I lost my customers because of so poor company. You can pay for next day delivery or order small or large parcel you never will get any anyway. Money and time robbers!! Criminals!”

“Ordered a cricut machine, when it arrived it is simply not fit for purpose, the draw feature leaves blotchy dots within the lines. Hobbycraft are refusing to accept a return as the product has been used and are now just ignoring my messages. How would I have known the machine would produce these blotchy dots without using the machine? Absolutely baffled and £250 down the drain during an already tough time. Avoid this company.”

“I am calling them ask my online shoping cancellation and they even tell me about my seems 1 month every time I call the call say they are busy to pick up my call , no good this is my 1st and last online shop with them ,thank you.”

“Appalling service. I ordered 6 items. Only received one item. Waited a week in delivery! Tried calling no one answered (currently on the phone). Used the “Contact form” on their website no one got back to me. Will be raising an issue with PayPal instead to get my money back.”

“Shocking service If you order on line for click and collect uou hsve to spend over £10 We wanted a extra item that was in store whilst collecting our order___as it was'nt on line we were unable to purchase it .Absolute joke Unable to get through on phone lines at customer service as phones are not manned I think customers will go elsewhere”

“Ordered a high priced item on tuesday (not that it should make any difference) for next day click and collect. Wednesday and the tracking said they hadn't even been given the parcel by the main depot. I rang twice that day and was told it would definitely be in store by the end of day even though I could quite clearly see via the tracking that it wouldnt be. Thursday strived and still no item or any updated tracking. Rang hobbycraft and they said they would send me another to my home address on a next day service. Friday arrives and no updated tracking and no parcel. I rang customer service again and they say they havent even sent the parcel from the main depot and would I like it delivered the next day? I asked for a refund and they said they wouldnt very able to give me my money back for eight days! They have already cost me money and I have now missed the deadline for my work as I don't have the tool I need. I do feel like covid is being used as an excuse, how can it be unprecedented a year later? And also do not make promises you cant keep. If you cant fulfill next day orders than simply dont offer them. I'm now finding it almost impossible to get my money back. Appalling service that has cause me alot of stress.”

“Customer service is very unprofessional, click and collect within an hour to find out it out of stock in the shop I ordered from rung customer service up to ask for refund as could get off amazon cheaper and same day for the to say they can't refund as its been dispatched. Not happy”

“I have been waiting for a canvas for 3 months, it hasn't been shipped and they won't give me my refund. The worst customer service - noone has replied to me in 2 months!!!!!”

“Paid for next day delivery. Arrived 2 days late. Complained 3 times, no response from their customer service and no refund for next day delivery. Wont be using them again and have told many friends too.”

“I put in a big order for threads etc 4 were not available though they were when I ordered and 10 threads arrived so filthy I am unable to use them. Also I was only given a refund on 8 instead of 10. Dreadful for such a large company.”

“Hobbycraft have taken £4.50 from my account for delivery when delivery should have been free for the order which was over £20!! Still no response from them since November after 5 emails. It’s theft!!!!”

“You know you will generally pay over the odds at Hobbycraft, and stock selection has gone downhill in 2020. That aside, packaging for delivery is not suitable to protect your purchases, meaning you get dented paperand card products. Ordered online only because of covid restrictions making trips to a shop harder for me. I would not under normal circumstances use this as it is a waste of money to lose a percentage of your purchase due to damage. Have contacted them to show problem.”

“Bought an embroidery machine which was faulty. They promised replacement but did not come to collect old one or bring new one twice till now and I been waiting for 3 weeks now. Tried ringing but I took me more than an hour holding the line until I gave up. Do not know what to next. They are very horrible to deal with. Do not buy any thing big from them.”

“As a first time buyer I was very disappointed. I thought I'll treat myself to some nice chunky yarn with the 3 for 2 offer. Unfortunately, I did not get value for money as the quality was just awful. All the 3 balls of yarn had knots, a lot of splitting and even some of the fiber was cut and it was hanging loose from the rest of the yarn, not to mention how much it was getting twisted while working with it. Customer service wasn't of much help either, even with photos as evidence . They just said the knots are normal but did not address the rest of the problems. I worked with better yarn for half the price. After all that I will not be returning to Hobbycraft or trying their other products.”

“This was my first time using this shop. They did not have three of the items I required. Three of the items I did purchase I was over charged for and had to go back for refund which cost me more in petrol. I did receive an apology as the items had been misplaced but out of pocket. Wont be going again to the northampton branch.”
