They put autorenew on my account despite me opting out which I believe is illegal, on the new quote they were going to take £45 to set it up, I managed to get another quote somewhere else for over £60 cheaper by setting it up myself, take over 30 mins to answer the phone, never again

Awful service - avoid, I got a home policy with them via Confused.com after a few days they called to say the insurance had not been valid as the confused.com questions were ‘incorrect’! I asked to complain re this - but was told no mangers were available or would say anything different. Set up new policy with another company - much better and more helpful. Also made complaint to LV, the underwriters , about using this company to sell their policies.

I've just had a house insurance renewal quote. I thought insurers were supposed to two things to stop ripping people off: 1. show last year's premium, 2. not automatically increase premiums to take advantage of people without a computer. QLR have failed on both. My last year's premium is quoted as "?//". No doubt they will blame this on a systems glitch. The new premium has increased by £21 (from last year's £146) but they've added a brand new, never heard of charge called "Our set up fee" of £45!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will these companies never tire of think of new ways to rip their customers off ? Shocking, underhanded and they should be ashamed, especially at a time when everyone is struggling with the cost of living

Really terrible company, being hounded for payment of a policy that was cancelled twice by letter prior to renewal. Avoid if you have any sense.

"Terrible avoid .I paid up front 200 odd pounds and they then took another 70 out my account for no reason, then cancelled the policy saying all details were not included ...they were.they reinstated after a phone call but cancelled again a week later ,so 3 weeks cover in total and a 9 pound refund .Just awful"

Unfortunately these reviews had not been read prior to purchasing this company's van insurance. Having stated the approximate mileage that will be driven in the forthcoming year it was noted when checking the policy documents, without extending the basic common courtesy of a 'phone call or email this company had totally disregarded the figure quoted and had increased the mileage and obviously the premiums accordingly, something in all my years of driving have never experienced before. I absolutely detest my integrity being called into question. Furthermore, no other insurance company has ever asked for proof of ownership of any vehicle previously owned. All in all I'm now beginning to have very serious doubts about this company and its modus operandi. Hopefully, their services will not be called upon to resolve a claim in the forthcoming year.

Sold my vehicle, wanted to cancel my insurance, 4 months remaining, expected quick phone call and a small refund. Was told there is no refund and a cancellation fee of £75, and how would I like to pay?. Apparently in the terms (that no one reads) Avoid this company at all costs.... Even 1 star is too much. Feel like I have sh!t on my shoes.

Once again another fraudulent company, received quote from confused.com, they were a few pound cheaper for a classic car policy, went with them, to be then texted and emailed requesting more information, then we get a cancellation letter stating, they don’t insure recent purchased vehicles, have you ever heard anything so pathetic, we phoned. The guy on the phone then saying we have to pay a cancellation fee, we advised that they had all the information when we purchased the insurance so why take our monies to then say we don’t insure you. We have escalated it and guess what the manager hasn’t called us back, we have raised a complaint with confused.com and premium credit who are handling the DD payments. , upon looking on here, they are constantly scamming people with these cons, What gets us so angry is that people like confused.com are allowing these THEIVES to operate out of their backyard and taking a commission for it. QUOTELINEDIRECT are no better than those fraudsters that steal money out of a old ladies purse when she isn’t looking. How the staff can morally go to work each day knowing they are ripping people off , beggars belief. I am reporting these to my local training standards and the trading standards where they are based. WHAT EVER YOU DO PEOPLE DO NOT USE THESE YOU WILL REGRET IT.

A bunch of con artists. Trying to cancel my policy and on phone for hours. When I finally got through they told me it was the wrong dept and they would put me through. Another 45 mins on hold before I gave up. Cannot find an email or number to call. Cowboys.

"Cheap insurance provider for sure but din't cancel a policy with them as you will be charged. I did this , it would have been better if I let the policy expire when I sold my vehicle as I would have saved myself around forty pound which they charged me for cancelling early."
