I've been a customer of Carol Nash for many years (20yrs)they have been great over this time but after my recent renewal I look out as I always do a multi bike policy , not long into start of policy I had to change a bike I know it costs a fortune but I had no choice ,I called them as I had done many times in the past I spoke to a nice lady (very bad broken English) she said she was unable to do the change ???? I was confused i had to leave the call this left my bike uninsured and I was unable to use it for work, I called back still no joy one bloke suggested I take a separate policy at great cost he was very rude , I waited till next day still no one called me , I called again still no joy , I called again later in the day and spoke to a bloke who explained the new way of doing things my quote had to be passed to a team leader as people Id previously spoke to couldn't do it ( call center abroad i presume ? ), i complained to the complaint dept surprise surprise i got a reply that was very inaccurate and of course found in their favour I've since cancelled my policy (at great cost to me ) please avoid I have no idea what's happened after years of great service

After 17 years Carole Nash altered the endorsements on my policy. Spent 40 mins on the phone to what was definitely not a UK based call centre trying to rectify the issue. Could hardly understand the call handlers and was repeated put on hold. I ended the call in frustration and I am looking at alternative insurer. Totally pi££ed off after years of loyal custom.

I have been with Carole Nash for many years mostly without a problem to-day I sold one of my two motorcycles and contacted them to remove it from the policy. I have never had such poor service the operatives sounded as if they were reading from an autocue without understanding what they were reading long gaps between questions and some questions asked repeatedly my name and address asked three times and they appeared to have to go away and ask for advice before being able to continue and this apart from the fact that they obviously have no knowledge of subject they are dealing with. After having had years of good service this is appalling and whoever is responsible should be ashamed. After just over an hour of long gaps and total mind numbing ineptness I told them to cancel my policy and have now moved elsewhere.

Echo what other long term policy holders say. This Company's level of service has dropped off a cliff. That is putting it mildly . I have insured with them for years. I think this is because calls are outsourced. Overseas Asian staff clueless and I don't think they understand. That to be clear is not a racist comment, just a fact from spending hours on the phone. Awfully polite, but hopeless. I sent pictures of my classic for an updated agreed valuation back in April since which time I have singularly failed to extract from the company or its sadly incompetent overseas staff a letter confirming the valuation is update or otherwise. Truly remarkable. I have even raised a complaint - that will take 8 weeks to respond to. Now into end of June and no nearer resolving what should be a pretty straightforward question. Hopeless. Beware. Think I will look at Haggarty for renewal.

*GENUINELY STEER CLEAR* Appalled by this company today. Currently not insured with them but was looking for a two bike policy to commence on the 30/07/23, added to this i asked the question if i could add my brother in law who will be visiting from Australia for 3 days, the lady went into meltdown and cut me off, really, not once but twice with two seperate operators, the website purports all sorts of "can do's" but the reality is different. Shame on you carole Nash, you are not the bikers friend after all.

I renewed my annual car policy with Carol Nash insurance on 6 May 2023, but then sold my vehicle 17 days later. My annual premium was £145. The amount that Carol Nash insurance charged me for the 17 days on cover was £149, which equates to an annual premium of £3,207. How can they justify charging this amount ? I am shocked and will never use this company again and my message is a warning to others who wish to cancel their policies and just how much Carol Nash Insurance may try and charge you.

Just been on the phone with my son for a motorbike quote. Call lasted 35 minutes and didnt get anywhere. Was on hold numerous times and spoke to 3 individuals who seemed totally inept in what they where doing. Avoid, lots of professional insurers out there who are more competent

Had a motorbike policy for a couple of months after renewal before I sold my bike. The renewal fee was £35 and cancelled fee was £40. So the insurance for 2 months has ended up costing me £100 - the premium wasn't much more than that! It was incredibly painful cancelling the policy. I had a letter asking me to call Autonet who couldn't deal with my request (they are part of the same group apparently). Then I got cutoff when speaking to someone who could help. Then it took 10 minutes for someone else to speak to me. All before I found out they've ripped me off with their unjustified fees. Oh, but it's in the policy wording so that makes it ok! I will not be using these people again. There's so much competition out there, I'd be amazed if Carole Nash survive!

Absolutely awful! Phoned for just a quote put on hold 3 times, 20 minutes of silly questions not even the reg number !! was told they won’t insure my sons bike until he’s done CBT he needs his bike to do the CBT so needs insurance! I just wanted a quote . Lady didn’t have a clue what she was doing then asked if I want to insure it in my name no!! Then asked if I have a policy with them…never after that shockingly rubbish service!!

Avoid at all costs, I have never had an insurance company with so many hidden costs tried to cancel also after only 3 days and they want to charge £56 total rip off

Carole Nash - Avoid at all cost, there are a lot better insurance companies to use which have online portals to make changes. Old style Carole Nash £35 a time Rip off.

Having tried on numerous occasions to take out car insurance online, the system keeps crashing at the last minute, after putting in my bank details and card details, and tells me to ring them. Upon ringing, the advisor tells me I need to go through the whole quote again, which will take at least 30 minutes. I tried again the following evening and again, it won't let me take it out online and asks me to ring them, after I have provided all my payment details. As it is 9pm,their call centre is closed. I have wasted over 2 hours trying to get insurance and I am so fed up with trying, I will go to another company and pay more, as they are so infuriating.

Pretty awful front end these days after being acquired a couple of years ago. Been a customer 23 years and based upon the policy products and my prior good experience I'd still give them a 3/5 but it used to be 5/5. Called them to day and it was shambolic. Their big sell was once a clear understanding of motorcycles. The policies still reflect this but the staff do not. I decided to stay there this year but will re-quote next year for the first time in those many years. I may stay though a few years back that was a "will". Don't dismiss but do shop around.

Awfull hidden charges everywhere You can't get Manager on phone and they can't promise that manager will call back,,, Well now I know why they don't have online portal like every other insurer so that they can charge you fir any change you need to do,,, I'll not use them again,,,

Paid £145 for car insurance policy - 13th Feb 2023- Due to mechancial failure car was scrapped. Cancelled insurance policy yesterday - have been charged a £50 cancellation fee from Carole Nash and £32 plus IPTax from Covea Insurance plc . They add a cancellation fee to the insurance policy cancellation fee? MY TOTAL REFUND for the car policy which was held for 1 month is £9.16!! I think this is extortion !!

Customer service was awful, hidden charges for everything. Definitely would not use Carole Nash again. Asked to speak to a manager and was told they can't promise a manager will even call me back and they are not around at the moment. Rip off merchants

Scammers. We took out a policy for a car we were buying but the purchase fell through a day after so we phoned to cancel the policy as never actually even received the car. They charged us £25 for having the policy for ONE day! Very rude and argumentative on the phone too. All normal, reputable companies offer 14 days cooling off period so that the customers feel respected when things like car sales fall through and not feel that companies like Carole Nash are there just to take your money and make you feel insignificant. We are clearly never going to be doing business with this company ever again.
