“Like another person stated in their complaints. I had a bad experience at checkout. My mother-in-law used to have the card and she lives with us. She is unable to get out as she is 95 and do her shopping so therefore we had to get our own membership. Today I took my adult disabled daughter in with me. I had a cart almost $300 full and she had a couple things. She is Disabled and has a snap card, I was going to have her put it on her card for the two things she had. They weren’t going to allow it. Same house and said she needed her own card or I needed to put it all on her link card…. Sorry that’s not legal! I almost walked out and left my cart but I didn’t. I understand if you’re trying to give your card to your neighbor, that’s wrong. Common sense should have been used here. My daughter was terribly upset about it and said she felt like she was getting made fun of, as she didn’t understand but they were really drawing attention to it and to everyone around us. I also have a Sam’s membership. I think I will go there from now on.”
“So, I am a new costco member. I have shopped there a few times, no problem. But, I ordered a tv with a 2 day delivery time, I selected my delivery date in accordance with my day off with an option of after 5pm any other day. I also paid for setup. My day off came and went, today I go to work call costco and was informed driver would call 30 mins before delivery. This afternoon I get text telling me to call rxo, I do, only to be told it won't be delivered till next Tuesday. So 2 days has turned into 2 weeks!!! Rediculous !!!”
“For the most part Costco has great mercandice including food however, do not buy their fish oysters. They ate cut up pieces of oysters that look like whole one in the jar. Totally a rip off please beware of this product for sure.”

“On my first visit to Costco, I shopped for over an hour, collected several hundred dollars of groceries and went to the checkout to purchase a membership. The checkout person said she would keep my cart until I returned from the membership desk and that “It only takes a couple minutes to get a membership “.
At the membership deck I was kept there for over 20 minutes, being pressured and pressured to buy more than a basic membership. I told the sales woman that I could not afford nir was interested in anything more than a basic membership but she wouldn’t stop with the pressure tactics. Finally I got my membership, went back to purchase the groceries only to find out that they had not been held for me as promised but were returned to stock. I wasted an entire morning driving to, shopping at, and trying to get a membership at Costco. Will never go back.”
“In December of 23 I purchased a new Whirlpool refrigerator from Costco. Not long after receiving it, I noticed that it was freezing everything on the first three shelves in the refrigerator. Instead of keeping the temperature at the recommended 37 °. I have had to turn it up to 40°. Then I noticed ice growing up the back wall of the freezer and realized I definitely had a problem with this refrigerator. Even though I have a 2-year warranty from Costco, I was told I had to go through Whirlpool. Whirlpool has the worst service I've ever received. I've had three different technicians out here and each one has been worse than the one before. They seem to pick the lowest bidder to do their warranty work. The last technician that was here did nothing but scrape the ice off the wall and tell me that these things just happen. I have gone through all the higher-ups at Costco and still have not been offered the chance to exchange this refrigerator. Each person passes it on to another person and no one gets anything done. I am now dealing with the managers in my local Warehouse and hoping that they can help me. I would not recommend buying a major appliance from Costco because they don't stand by their warranty. If they did, my refrigerator would have been replaced months ago. Let this be a warning to anyone who wants to buy a major appliance at Costco!”
“They sent me a replacement product because my current one was defective. Unfortunately, I have since moved from the original purchase address and was told it can only be shipped to the original purchase address. I called 10 times to have it updated prior to the replacement being shipped ND not one single person was able to updated my address as shown in my Costco account. Disgrace! Will no longer be shopping at Costco and will transition to BJ's which will be opening up soon. Also, BJ's membership cost is 3 times cheaper.”
“So My husband is on his father’s Costco account. I typically do all the shopping while he’s at work. I use his card with no issues whatsoever. Today I go in and all of a sudden it’s an issue. We live in the same home. We are MARRIED. What on earth is the issue???? So now he has to be inconvenienced by coming to Costco after a long day at work so we can get the things that I should have already been able to get! Some kind gentleman even offered to be there and allow me to use his card but apparently that was an issue as well. Costco y’all are screwing up big. Looks like bjs and Sam’s club are going to. E the way to go from now on. The least they could have done was let me finish making my purchase. I spend a lot of money at Costco but I will not be anymore.”
“Went to the food court and ordered 3 whole pizzas, no one waiting and took 40 minutes. the time they got the last one ready, the other were cold. I can understand if they were busy, but they were slow.”
“So last Monday I went to Costco to inquire about buying new tires for my truck so the tech came out and looked at my truck and tires and gave me a price and I paid on the spot for new tires and they told me that they would call when they came in. I waited a few days and called and when I called they told me that they came in and made me an appointment. I showed up yesterday for my 2:30 appointment. I run my own business so I put all my all of my appointments off and waited in Costco. They called me and told me that they could not install my tires because of a after market cover so I asked them to take the cover off and please install the tires. They told me from the minute that I arrived that they were very short staffed and that this would take much longer. I then got a call back on my cell that they would not remove the cover so I offered to take the Brake cover and they said no. I said hey I really nee the new tires and they said sorry and refused to install the tires. I then asked for a Manager and he said the same thing and offered my money back. I said that is great but I just waisted my afternoon for nothing and that the guy that initially looked at the truck should have said that they just can't install them. I got my money back and asked where my truck was and as I walked by the bays in the back to my truck the same guy that gave me my money shouted to the guys in the bay "hey boys I got rid of another one". I called to complain as they were short staffed and just didn't want to Install the tires. I will never go to any Costco again.”
“My Review for Keter Alto Cortina Vertical Shed-Half of the parts are missingThe product was delivered later than the original date. Then we discovered that half of the parts of shed were missing. Upon contacting Costco, we were informed that they are not certain where the parts could have gone or how they were misplaced and the only option we have to first to order the product again then physically return to Costco warehouse wasting an ample of time and money. Very unprofessional of all parties involved: Costco, Keter and UPS who originally delivered. Unprofessional customer service, lack of accountability for the product they sell.”
“I bought my tires at Costco when I had a membership. now that my membership has expired they will not rotate or Ballance my tires. I thought that was part of the purchase but they said it was part of being a costco member. it is way cheaper to get my tires someplace else then to have to purchase a Costco membership every year. the tire purchase is a scam and they don't tell people.”
“I asked Keith Mc what I could do to let Costco know what an excellent employee Costco has. He said that wasn't necessary, as long as I was satisfied with my purchase. Keith went way out of his way to make sure I got what I had come to Costco for, and would not let my search go unfulfilled. Thank you Keith and Costco.

“I have generally had very positive experiences with Costco. But I am not happy that, in my view, they took advantage of my mother. She was checking out and she was yet again approached about upgrading her membership. The salesperson did not take no for an answer. She was pressured. She is 88 years old and was tired and gave in and said yes. $50.00 later and a long ride home, she realized she did not want the upgrade. When she called, she was told she had to be there in person to cancel the upgrade! I do not know if this is legal, but it sure is inconvenient! I called and got nowhere also. She's frustrated and I'm angry. I'll be surprised if this review is published.”
“Gilbert, AZ store… but it’s happening everywhere. I understand asking to see our membership card at the front door to enter a “members only” warehouse, but while waiting in line at self checkout to purchase two bags of trail mix - a whopping $24 purchase…. I was carded yet again. I had put my card away while we had eaten a bite at the food court, and had just switched phones so my membership wasn’t loaded onto the new phone. As I juggled the bags of trailmix, my water cup, and purse to fumble through my wallet for my membership card the Costco worker inched closer and closer to me staring as if to jump at the moment she could say “gotcha!”. Well, I did pull my card out finally and I did have some words for her. She went and tattled on me to the managers because two of them met me on the other side of self checkout. I discussed my displeasure about being ‘carded’ and they assured me they were asking everyone. I kindly told them that this particular employee had NOT asked a single customer in front of me or behind me for their membership cards. I had been targeted. The managers then let me know they are cracking down on this and gearing up because they are about to start checking memberships AS WE EXIT THE STORE! That’s right! Not only will they continue to check carts and receipts, but you will have to scan your membership card and YOUR PICTURE will show up in a monitor for everyone to see so that they can confirm it’s you! This is getting out of control Costco! We’ve been members for over 20 years and this is about as low as you can go. Don’t you make enough money as it is? We aren’t stealing product - we are buying your product! You are making more and more loyal customers rethink whether or not to renew when our memberships expire.”
