I have been left with poorly fitting secondary double glazing that steams up during cold weather. Terrible customer service. No one will talk to me. I am having to go to the Ombudsman DONT BUY FROM THEM

Missold a door by agent. Now being threatened by a thug. Pay up or else! Won't be paying anything. Being a pensioner doesn't give them a right to say or do what they like.

Came to quote, price was 15% over other quotes received including their pressurised you'll get a discount if you order today sales tactics. Awful company won't touch again.

Made an appointment, nobody showed up or contacted me, and I had taken a day off work. They have just done exactly the same thing with my daughter. Give these a miss!

Pretty doors but bad customer service. Now on our third request for urgent call out. The keys turn in the lock but the door won't open, so we are locked in for the weekend. Luckily the back door was not locked when it should have been. Your website says that your customer service phone line operates Monday through Sunday, when that is no longer the case. I am writing on a Saturday morning.

What went wrong? Everything. Miss-sold a door that could not possibly have fit, had to chase the surveyors. Second option door ALSO couldn’t fit without major brickwork change, and wasn’t available in the colour we’d signed for. Couldn’t get through to their customer services, couldn’t get through to their complaints team for any updates on getting our deposit of £1000 back - it took me well over a month and took for me to threaten legal action and reporting to The FCA before they have back the deposit. Hard sell, miss-sold, no follow up, no support, no compensation. Would NEVER recommend.

***THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY*** Paid deposit for a door in January. Months later somebody else comes to measure it and then more waiting. Constantly chasing them for an installation date. Installation date comes and goes. Still not heard anything. Constantly ringing them and never getting a straight answer always ends with they will get another department to ring me back (which they never do) Wish I didn’t bother. Further update, after called again on day of installation was told a delay in a part so when asked about what part they then told me it’s a delay on the door. Had zero updates from the company throughout. Worst than useless.

Yes the bad experience continues. I wrote on here 2 weeks ago - I have Emailed most days since then with NO reply. Don’t bother phoning cos either they don’t answer or you are put through to the wrong department. They owe me my deposit after cancelling, of £282. Still waiting - how much longer Anglian?????

As a former Anglian field manager, I can vouch for the poor quality products and the installers for the most part. The fitters are all sub contractors and are paid one of the worst rates in the industry, so what do you expect ? we had to deal with the same issues day after day and our primary role was to ensure payment was made. I wouldn't have these windows for free, they use a flipper gasket in the frame and nothing in the sash, they rarely seal correctly.

Windows fitted March 28th 2024. During fitting a glass pane was cracked. Immediately the installation guy phoned it through and ordered a replacement. We were told up to 2 weeks. The day after fitting Good Friday we had a call asking about our installation and I explained about the damaged window and he said within 2 weeks we would get a call to arrange replacement fitting. He then went on to push for us to have another sales visit for windows downstairs. At the time we were on a London bus visiting our daughter and politely explaining we were trying to enjoy the bank holiday weekend! Roll on 2 weeks no news. I phone Monday 15th April to be told the replacement window came in on the 8th so she said she would email our local rep for him to get in touch. Roll on Monday 22nd April I phone again. She resends email. Another week’s passed and nothing! I know phoning tomorrow I’ll be told the same and another email will be sent. It feels like they are on the ball to get the sales in but not the after service. It’s a shame because we still have our downstairs windows and doors including a big patio door left and at this rate if this is not fixed soon we will not be asking Anglian to quote!

I’ve been complaining about the poor finish to my windows and front door since May 23 it’s now April 24 and it still not resolved. They originally messed up my survey and had to remake the widows. I’ve had to send the dozens of emails to resolve the issues they have sent out 2 engineers who have failed to resolve my problems. I’ve had 3 occasions where they have told me that I would get a visit to resolve the problem and nobody has turn up!

285 days it took from a 4 hour sales pitch to completing my installation of windows & doors. Catalogue of disasters, damage to property. Recompense £750 , absolutely shameful. Would never recommend.

I am compelled to leave a 1-star review due to ongoing issues with Anglian Windows/ Home Improvements. On 06/02/2024, I placed an order and paid a deposit, with a promise of early installation within 6-8 weeks to gain a further discount and had to be signed on the night, who said the hard sell was dead?. After having to personally chase to arrange the survey, which finally took place on 28/03/2024, I am still waiting for a revised quotation despite being told it would be ready within a few days.. My follow-up communications have been met with requests for information I had already provided and still no formal response regarding the quotation. The lack of effective communication and constant need to chase for updates is frustrating and unprofessional. Avoid this company and the other companies that they own at all costs.

Never use the firm...it's takes them 14days to put windows and doors in..top windows was secure..left all the plastic in the garden. In the end it took them a year to sort it out. Sorry I can't recommend this firm at all

On 2nd February 2024 I had a quote for 2 small windows which I agreed to and paid £282 deposit. 6 days later the surveyor arrived (after cancelling once) and found that when the Anglian had installed these window in 1996 they hadn't fitted Lintals so the brick work had moved slightly and it would cost me an extra £200 on top of the £1128. So a few days later I cancelled and asked for my refund. Instead I got a letter demanding a balance payment of £621. The reason being that in their contract there is a clause 9(c) stating that you had to cancel within 7 days or you are liable for 80% of the total contract price. Firstly yes this might be in the contract but when the salesman is pushing for a signature you don't stop and read the contract neither is it pointed out to you. Secondly the surveyor came after 6 days of my signing the contract which of course is a good delay tactic. So over 2 months later I am still waiting for my refund and numerous communications have had no response. If I don't hear very soon I shal be taking this further.

Very bad workmanship. Aftercare poor. I urge you not to use this company. I requested them to do some tidying up of the steps they fitted to get from the patio doors they installed to the garden and eventually ended up having to have the work done privately. No one replied to my emails. After threats to involve Watchdog and Trading Standards they promised to give me a refund which did not arrive despite numerous phone calls to them.

They prey on an 85 year single male taking nearly 1000 pound deposit before any work is carried out then when you cancel in the cooling off period they still try and hold onto your money, I'm still waiting for a refund and have had to escalate our situations. Stay away from these cowboys

Signed up for a door, they took a deposit then did nothing. After 3 months had elapsed I contacted them to see what was happening and was told they had lost the template and the whole, procedure would need to be repeated. Not a pleasant experience, sent several emails which were ignored or sent general scripted replies. Incompetence appears the norm with this company. Best to avoid to reduce risk,
