They tried to renew my policy without properly informing me and they would have stolen £70 in admin fees from me had I not checked my spam folder in my email, I am appalled and would not recommend.

Takes near on 30 mins for a call to be answered. Now try tell me there not robbers, I insured a mazda 3 sport 2.2 150bhp at 24 with a deposit of 320 and 190 a month with no ncb and driving less than a year which I thought was great... Car blew up on me recently so got a new car, 2010 1.4 75bhp mariva and they want 180 deposit and 250a month.. Yeah work that out. Your getting nothing from me.

Notice to young drivers and their Mummys and Daddys Discovering this little insurance company on a comparison site, i was pleasantly surprised with the cheaper prices and lack of need for any telematics. Being a young driver with full time employment, good post code i was pleased i found the offer. Since taking out the policy around a week ago, they have started to do investigation into the policy asking for every document under the sun. Driving license summaries, photo card licenses, several proof of addresses, proof of occupation... think they're just waiting on a photo of my bank card lol. After querying the need for all these documents with their call centre, the operator was keen to tell me that they were only a broker who in themselves aren't entirely happy with 'A Choices' shady policies on the need for all this documentation. I did find the brokers pleasant and amused me how they were diverting the blame to the insurance company directly. I'm currently querying their use of all this information, as if there is a claim then I'm happy to submit all this to save me having to this at the time of a claim....but hopefully we won't get to that **chuckles** Don't have much else to say, as long as you have all of the above, -+4 figures and a crash helmet, then you're probably sound. I had a policy last year and spent over £1,300. I have had to call a few times for various reasons and have been on hold for over 25 minutes every single time. When I first took out my policy, this time last year, the upload portal wasn't working properly and I couldn't upload the required documents. I couldn't get through to anyone and started to receive letters threatening to cancel my policy. After a few days, I got through to someone and emailed them directly. A few days later I received a letter to say that my policy would be cancelled as I hadn't responded to them. I had to call again and was told that the policy would be re-activated. I have also been waiting over a week for an email with a copy of my NCB to send to my new insurer. Since I opened the policy I haven't had to contact the company all that much but on the occasions that I have, the customer service has been pretty rubbish.

I wanted to discuss a car insurance quote with the company as I had a few queries, I spoke to Richard Allen and he dealt with my situation in a very professional manner. Any concerns I had, I felt reassured, he was very patient and took his time out to explain everything step by step to me, he ensured I fully understood everything, before moving on. Overall, Richard Allen was extremely helpful and I would now certainly shout about this company to family and friends, all thanks to Richard Allen. If it was not for his great customer service skills and the way he professionally dealt with my inquiries, I would not have gone ahead with my quote. So a huge thank you to Richard Allen for simply being humane.

Charged me £1000 for my insurance which is okay for my car and age but then requested a mountain of documents I don't have easy access to. on the phone for an hour trying to cancel my policy which hadn't even started yet mighten I add! passed from person to person trying to cancel and find a resolution. Customer assistant laughing and sniggering down the phone. Absolutely awful, fraudulent company who aren't interested in their customers needs what so ever.

Honestly the worst insurance company I've ever been with. Bought the insurance and then they want all these documents that are awkward to get hold of and want me to sign a document with tonnes of small print. Every other insurance has done it themselves, if I'm paying them that much money I expect them to do a bit of leg work

Avoid at all costs, I've had an absolute nightmare with this company and that's an understatement to say the least! and just when you think it can't get any worse the customer service is absolutely appalling, it's not even worth the hassle to attempt to resole the issue as the staff don't even make that an option... Bank robbers!

Absloutely awful company, Insurance was £80 per month, however as they would not change my direct debit date to after my pay day or on my pay day I ended up paying £110 per month all because they wouldn't change my payment date. disgusting robbing people!! Phones are constantly busy (probably with so many people complaining at your god awful customer service) If only I had read these reviews before getting my insurance! they then automatically renewed me and bevause I had moved address this had apparently gone up! baring in mind its the same area also in a private close with a drive. Im cancelling today after being renewed for 2 days in my cooling off period, however no doubt they will want an excessive amount of money for cancelling 2 days into my cooling off period!!! Will be reporting to financial ombudsmen. reading these reviews I am disgusted at how they get away with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldnt get the check code for my additional driver, they responded by removing them then adding a 600 pound premium, When i canclled it they owed me 80 pounds, after all their stupid admin fees cancellation fees i owed them 70 pounds! Never again will i deal with A-choice

Terrible insurance company!Unrealible,unprofessional stuff and customer service! Have had my car stolen since 10th of October this year.They hired a third party to investigate the case, that's ok. The report from them was made more then 3 weeks ago and every day I'm calling them to ask for the results the only say to me,that they need to review it and they'll call be back on the next day. And that's what I hear for the last three weeks! So far, I don't trust any single word they telling me! Absolutely unprofessional manner in dealing with a clients. Prior 1 month to my car was stolen I've paid all the premium in full,granting them 1100£.And they said to me,that if I make a claim,I can't get this money back wich is literally, fraud,in my opinion. Also,for some reason,there is a 3000£ of compulsory excess on my policy I have to pay from my pocket. This is the third insurance company I'm dealing with in the UK and it's 100% the worst one comparing to another one's,when all the issues were settled within 1 week.

I had been with this company for a year before any issues started, up to which point I had not needed to contact them hence not realizing how incapable they are of basic customer service. I had been sent a letter stating they needed some more information before they could create a renewal quote for me, which is fair enough. I sent this document through almost immediately (1st document they didn’t deem as acceptable; anyway...) and yet despite numerous emails chasing thereafter, it still took them almost 2 weeks to get back to me, yet it was funny how quickly they called after receiving a complaint email due to this service. Not only this but it was left down to the day before my cover actually expired that they decided to respond to me, if I had not sent that complaint email I doubt I would have even got a response, lucky I was keeping track otherwise I could have been left without cover and not even realized. The general attitude of the multiple people I have spoken to in their offices are all the same - they’re not particularly interested, if it’s not a simple fix then heels get dragged and it takes forever to get anywhere with them. After my complaint had been dealt with they sent me a renewal quote of nearly £150 more than other companies on the market, and left me feeling this was simply a ploy to get me to stop contacting them and go elsewhere. Joke is on them though as I have found a much cheaper company with decent customer service. I would recommend saving your time and money by going elsewhere.

Spoke on phone. They explained excesses , no claims etc for my 17 yr old son with a provisional licence. No telematics , competitive price. So far can not fault them

Terrible customer service, when I tried to amend the dates of my direct debits as is easy with all of my other credit agreements. They were unable to adjust this and I was charged every month. Absolutely terrible company DO NOT USE!!!

AVOID!! Complete scam of a company. Highly recommend you to avoid if you wish to save yourself a headache and money. It feels as though they keep making excuses just so they can cancel your insurance and make money from your deposit and what you’ve paid already and have no intention in insuring you. They keep gettting you to prove yourself by sending information that a normal insurance company wouldn’t need like V5, driving licence summary, previous instance motor certificate! It’s a long winded process just to take your money and cancel your insurance! Rubbish company.
