I was locked out of my flat with no key. They charged me £225.60 in total. £59 for the emergency call-out, £129 to drill through my lock so they could get into the flat. Plus VAT. I then found out that it’s a common cylinder Yale lock that he could’ve just picked. The charge for picking would’ve just been £59. So he drilled and destroyed the lock when he didn’t need to. He then asked to charge me £80 for a new lock but I said no to this. The locks are £10 online. Scam!
