Not at all easy to get a dog into, and I think the sizing guide isn't quite correct. I got the large based on measurements as per the website and it seems on the small side. However in trying to get him in I got grass and mud scuffs on it so doubt am exchange would be acceptable. I am sure I will be glad for it when we are hiking and he gets tired! Bag seems sturdy enough.
