Companty was great and the loft hatch is pretty solid (AT35) but it lacks coutersunk holes so the clearance between the screw head and the door is extremely tight. Consequently, the hatch is a bit sticky and depending on how my house moves in the summer I am a little worried it will get stuck.
Also, I think for old houses the lip is somewhat pointless as my ceiling is very much not flat! I think an option for one which had a recessed groove around the edge so you could plaster it in would be better
