My old pair of Lowa boots lasted me 10 years. With the new pair, however, after less than 2 years, the sole separated from the leather leaving a sizable tear. I wrote to the customer service of Lowa UK and, even if the boots were not in warranty anymore, they sent me a new pair free of charge! Very nice.
