Purchased a hoover stick vacuum. Within six months the hose developed a split. On contacting hoover they told Argos that it was a known issue and should be replaced FOC. When I contacted them I was told it was fair wear and tear and I would have to pay for a spare part. After nearly four months of toing and froing I eventually got them to refund the cost of the machine as they had run out of spare parts, perhaps because so many people had the same problem.
I noticed on another review site that someone else had the same problem, but they got nowhere with Hoover.
They have a standard response to customer complaints which is to contact them via social media.
My advice, don't purchase from Hoover (or Candy) if you want a quality product or good customer service.
