The solid oak threshold bars were of high quality and exceeded my expectations. When compared to less attractive metal alternatives they are very good value. I did have to use dowel plugs by creating a plywood template to drill the underside of the bars and the floor boards so that I could make up the height of the underlay and get the holes in the right place. After that it was easy to glue them into position without any visible screws or fixings.
