First I would like to say the service and staff at Wheelfreedom is great. I hired the knee scooter which is a great idea to aid mobility for below the knee injuries/surgery which require total non-weightbearing on the injured leg. However, once you are in this position you realise there are a few design issues which could be sorted out: 1) You need somewhere to attach your crutches in case you need to get off the scooter. 2) Suspension! Apart from totally smooth surfaces there needs to be some softness in the wheels to protect the knee. 3) If the knee pad was offset depending on which leg is injured it would make it easier for the good leg to fit in.
