Amazing Service! I've recently had an SMAS facelift and upper eyelid surgery at The Westbourne Centre. The quality of the service I've received in all departments has really been exemplary. The booking process was straightforward and efficient. I was able to ask as many questions as I wanted to make me comfortable with my choices about what surgery was appropriate for me. Anja, who was my initial contact kept me very well informed about timelines and costs of the procedures I'd chosen. Mr Nishikawa was my surgeon and from the first time I met him I felt very confident that he was the right person to perform my surgery. His professional profile is well documented, but equally important to me, was having a 'connection' with the surgeon. Mr Nishikawa's professionalism, combined with his ability to explain the more technical aspects of what he intended to do, made me feel at ease quite quickly. His sense of humour and relaxed manner was also key in identifying him as my go-to guy. On the day of surgery, Cheryl was my appointed nurse. She looked after me throughout the day from receiving me into the waiting room, throughout the theatre time and during my recovery. There were so many people involved in my surgery, I must apologise if I leave anyone out, but I really had a great feeling from Carol, Maggie, Simran and Dave, the guy I seem to remember, who had to haul me up the operating table when I'd slid down in a semi conscious state! Despite the pain and discomfort post surgery, I can only describe the experience as one where I felt very well looked after and totally reassured that everyone involved was in my corner. During the early stages of recovery unfortunately, I experienced some minor post operative complications. The follow up support I received to address these issues really couldn't have been better. From a 24 hour on call service to Mr Nishikawa providing ad-hoc appointments, whenever I had a concern, post surgery; these aspects of being a client at The Westbourne Centre are what really sets it apart from the rest. As I required several follow up visits, it would be remiss of me not to mention the high quality of the reception team. I was greeted with a friendly and professional approach, they remembered my name and all the little details you want when you visit anywhere, well, that's exactly what they delivered. Additionally, in my post surgery visits, I've been privileged to have been cared for by several members of the nursing team, supporting Mr Nishikawa. Jo, was at my first visit, when I'd only just had surgery. She was calm and confident at a point when I was feeling very sorry for myself indeed! I'd like to give a big shout out to Maxine, another of the nurses involved with my surgery; I've seen Maxine frequently during my visits. She's got the most calming and caring manner. She's a super asset to The Westbourne Centre. And of course, Karen.... well, what can I say? Karen was involved with me on several occasions and her no-nonsense approach, combined with a wicked sense of humour really helped me get through some of the less glamorous aspects of having a facelift. That includes taking out my stitches and scalp staples, and providing me with the opportunity to scream out all manner of expletives when we had a little sensitive spot she'd got to work on! To summarise, in my opinion,The Westbourne Centre is definitely a good destination if you're considering cosmetic surgery. I can't praise them highly enough. Thanks so much to everyone!
