We booked a meet and greet parking at Gatwick on Tue 2nd Jan 24. We rang the company half an hour before we arrived as they asked so they could meet us. We arrived at 6:30am and there was no one there. We telephoned the 2 numbers we had and it took over 10 tries to get hold of them. We eventually did and they said they would be half an hour. They eventually arrived at 7:15am. The man who came to pick the car up was rude and dismissive and didn’t care they were so late. (It says on their email if we were late they would charge £15). After a lovely holiday we arrived back at 8am and as asked in their email we rang (took over 15 times to get through) they told us where to go once we had our cases. We arrived at the meeting point at 8:50pm. We rang the number again to ask where the car was and I was rudely told to wait and it would be delivered and they were short of drivers. We again waited for 15 minutes and rang again (30 times without them answering) when they eventually answered they said another half an hour! As we were waiting we met 6 families who were also waiting for their cars from the same company. The times they had been waiting were between 1-3 hours! Every time we rang we were cut off or they didn’t answer. We rang the police as there were 6 cars which no one knew where they were. They said it was a civil matter and to report to trading standards but they had 3 phone calls on that day alone. At 9:15 I sent my daughter and daughter in law home in an Uber as they had children waiting at home for them. That cost £50 which I shouldn’t have to do. At 10pm I got a phone call from the company to say they were 5 minutes away and to meet on the lower level, I said I was on level four with 6 other families and to meet us there as that’s where we were told. He said no I am not dealing with the other families so meet there or nothing. I went and met him and I asked why has it taken so long etc , he was rude, don’t blame me, you have your car so… another lady came with me and asked him where her car was he shrugged and said not his problem. We asked where they stored there cars and he said I can’t tell you that. So 2 hours after we landed we got the car but 5 other families hadn’t and 3 of those had children and had been waiting 3 hours.
