Super easy from start to end result! I had cataracts in both eyes, neither of which fell into the NHS criteria for removal. I felt that my vision was not adequate for daily living, so I decided to look into private treatment, and found Vision Scotland. I chose to have my consultation at Edinburgh, a mere 20 minutes from my home. The clinic is very new and modern, with good parking facilities. My initial consultation took around two and a half hours. The eye exam was very comprehensive and reassuring that they were able to give me more than one treatment options based on their findings. All staff I encountered were very friendly,efficient and helpful. I chose to have both eyes treated at the same time, and scheduled an appointment to suit my needs. On the day, I was in the building in total, no longer than a few hours. The operation itself was amazingly quick, and totally painless. Afterwards I had tea and biscuits, and was given clear post operative instructions. I received a courtesy call two days later to see how it was all going. I cannot recommend this place enough. It was an amazing experience, one which I would not hesitate to recommend to others. I am currently one week post operative and cannot believe that my vision is so perfect. I have worn glasses and contact lenses since age 14, and cannot believe that I could achieve this clarity.
