They are very friendly and easy to contact. It's nice of them to contact me every week to find out how I'm getting on with the job that they placed me on. Their policy is well written. However, I don't see why you should have to apply for annual leave on public holidays or bank holidays, e.g. Christmas Day, as most workplaces in the UK are closed on these days. Perhaps the policy should read something like 'Whilst most workplaces in the UK are closed on public holidays and bank holidays, you should ask your manager or HR department if you will need to work or apply for annual leave on these days.' When I started my job at HSDC Alton a few weeks ago, there was a slight technical hitch with the timesheet submissions. This was sorted out after a week.
