I was looking for a policy just like you guys and found the cheapest one which is udrive cover, their cover didn’t start immediately. I called them the next day saying cancel my insurance bare in mind this wasn’t even 1 day, it was literally 13 hours after I called them got through to them, told them to cancel my insurance and they wanted to charge me £75 for cancelling my policy cause they are accusing me of lying that it did start immediately. I checked on askMid and contacted 101 all of them said I wasn’t insured, also I had no email confirmation, no text so if I do get pulled over I could show my documents. These guys are actual time wasters. Input all correct info through comparison site, got a reasonable quote.I made annual payment figured they might ask for proof of no claims which I was ready to provide, said they'd be in touch via phone within 48 hours but I was covered in that time .... obviously not ideal if you work 9-5 so, I rang them on my lunch, was told I had a specific person dealing with my account who's job I guess is to see what they can get away with flogging you instead. I work in sales, I understand commissions and I use comparison sites to avoid this trickery(Nice trustpilot). Bare in mind they had not actually requested I send my proof of no claims yet or proof of a clean license but I was ready to. immediately told by a sales advisor the original insurance quote was now declined (WHY TAKE MY PAYMENT?) basically saying my driver scoring rating was low (2 years no claims low )and other BS and then revealed they're actually a broker and there's 4 other providers with the next best "cheaper quotes." so "just need to pay £340 more" obviously this a sales funnel tactic designed to try and pressure you to go to the next best option and then to tell me it takes up to 30 days to get a refund when I declined their next "best offer" joke of a company, staff love using hold for no real reason probably to think "How can I blag this?" You guys won't last long much longer if you continue to be incredibly short sited. Keep those fake reviews coming on trust pilot too guys.
