I turned up on time at the garage to have two tyres fitted. The Manager said that I dint have an appointment. I insisted that I did and showed him the email on my cell phone. He still said that he had not received any information. I persisted with this, and he amazingly found an a4 piece of paper with all my details on. I asked him to change the rear driver side tyre and the front near side tyre and to put the new tyres on the front. He said that by doing this he would have to use several jacks and that I would have to come back later. I refused and as I have lots of experience in changing tyres (my first ever job) I told him to give me one jack, a tyre bar and a hammer and I would change them myself much quicker than he could with a machine. He reluctantly got to work on this with one of his colleagues. If I hadn’t stood watching him, he would have put the new tyres on without balancing them. I reminded him that this was part of the paid service. He then balanced both wheels. Tyres were fine service was very poor.
