A very angry customer
I booked our summer holiday flights for August 2020 to Lanzarote in December 19, before the Pandemic hit! After a roller coaster of ‘yes we are going‘ to ‘No we are not’ then ‘Yes we are’ then ‘no we are not‘ Finally flights were cancelled due to a Spain being removed from the Safe Corridor list by the government. They tried to ram vouchers down my throat stating as a ‘flight only’ customer I wasn’t entitled to a cash refund. Once I spouted the law to them they soon agreed to my refund request. That was on 17th Aug. Now I am left in limbo, no one to answer my calls as they closed all lines and no one replies to my weekly emails to their non existent customer service. All I get is automated emails stating as a flight only customer they cannot refund me until BA refund them! BA won’t talk to me because I booked with travel republic yet Travel Republic say it’s down to BA! My contract was with Travel Republic, not BA!! They took my money and at no point did they say “Mrs Bryant Your money isn’t as good as our package customers because you are poor so if anything happens we will leave you hanging and keep your money” Absolutely scum of the earth, Just shows how poor they really are!! In times of crisis Some companies shine and others take you for all you have! That’s what they did to me! I’ve had no holiday for 5 years as we don’t have much, my husband was made redundant and his small redundancy paid for our flights. We couldn’t afford a package holiday so found a cheap villa. They took my money and have kept it Poor poor poor. Will NEVER use them again No words to explain how I feel Thieves!!!
