An awesome business!!!!! It's rare in business to meet a company who really cares about the customer and is prepared to go to any length to ensure orders are fulfilled, in the hope of exceeding expectations. Generally, when you buy a beam, it is an emotive purchase; it's a functional item for a room, fireplace etc. but despite this, you place yourselves in the hands of the company re their selection of timber (given every length of oak is unique in its finished look) and workmanship, hoping the finished product lives up to expectations. My experience with Traditional Beams was slightly different - we needed a beam 2 metres long, 25cm X 14cm, their response was immediate "no problem at all!!" which continued throughout the process. Nothing was too much trouble i.e. sending additional pictures re the styles of beams to help us make our choice. Highlights included contact being consistent and being kept aware of the progress of the order throughout. There were a couple of niggles along the way however, being able to talk with Catherine and David directly as well as via email ensured we got there in the end; this was only possible through their empathy, professionalism and expertise; many thanks. Finally, I had spoken with other companies prior to choosing Traditional Beams; no doubt, the value of any business IS the people - Catherine and David were brilliant and to top it all we ended up with an amazing beam!!!
