I've been on Social Cat for a few weeks, and so far; the experience has been pleasant to connect brands and me together, as I build my experience, portfolio, and following. That aspect has been 5 stars, but the website itself needs a lot of upgrades to be more user-friendly. Using it on desktop is fluid, but on my iPhone, the inbox area is horrible.
To elaborate, when there is a string of messages, and I scroll to the top of the conversation, the website forces the messages to scroll back down to the bottom, where the typing box is located. I had to go on my desktop to see an earlier message that contained all the product features and the required hashtags.
Furthermore, when I do want to use the typing box to compose my message, there is a quick-menu that overlays the area. This is the menu that has fast buttons for "leave review," "contract," "mark unread," etc. I cannot see what I am typing, or going back to edit a typo is cumbersome.
There needs to be some sort of feature that has the shipping/tracking incorporated into the collabroation. I already emailed Social Cat about this, but there was an instance where the shipping got stuck, and I started receiving reminders from Social Cat that I needed to create my video in "x" amount of days, when I still had no product.
And the menu/navigation in the upper right corner should be on every page. Some pages do not have it, and I have to type in "thesocialcat.com" into my address bar, just so I can get back to my dashboard.
Those are my experiences thus far, and I do intend everything I have said as constructive and hopefully helpful input. The benefits of this website far outweigh the minor inconveniences. Thank you.
