I studied the level 3 (120 hour) TEFL course, and have just completed it and got my certificate. I like The TEFL Academy and the way they work, they have created a very informative and interactive course to teach you what you need to know to get started teaching English as a foreign language. I liked that the course considered options for teaching online as well as in person, this is the direction I wish to go in. The course had 9 modules and required 2 assignments, which were lesson plans for a created scenario. New to teaching I found the assignments challenging but I learnt so much by doing them. I liked the module on materials as it was really helpful in pointing out a wide range of free sites to use when forming material suited to your lessons, and online tools for putting lessons together in a dynamic visual way. The admin team are quick to respond to resolve admin issues and the assignment graders gave detailed advice, so I felt supported on my journey. I am keen to get started on my teaching journey!
