I bought a large sack of dry kiln logs for my log burner last year and they were great and so did the same again this year in December 2 weeks before Christmas. However it immediately became clear that something was different with the new batch of logs as they just weren’t burning properly. They were smoking, not catching and I needed to repeatedly use more fire lighters to keep the logs burning. The response from luxury wood was to buy from amazon a gadget that measures the mosture in the logs at my expense to make sure the moisture was correct. I did this at a cost of £12 and was on the phone with the company for 40 minutes a week before Christmas. They explained that the moisture content was good and so there must be an issue with my log burner. I explained my burner was not the issue - the logs were the issue. After spending so much time trying to sort out the issue including asking to have the logs collected and refunded ( told not possible unless I personally packaged up all the logs myself) and paid delivery fees I gave up. I will use the logs with lots of fire lighters but won’t use this company again for my logs unfortunately.
