I was given an opportunity to go on a clinical placement at The London Dermatology center with supervision of Dr Sunil Chopra himself. I was amazed by Dr Chopra's level of expertise and was able to see first-hand the latest techniques and laser equipment that was used to offer various options to patients with complex complaints. What was remarkable to witness was the rapid pinning down of mysterious conditions. I discussed the underlying science behind pathologies and procedures and was fascinated to observe how patients who were previously told there was nothing that could be done to improve their skin conditions were seeing drastic changes in matter of weeks with multiple interventions such as laser, surgery and medicine. Dr Chopra likes to stay on top of his field in the scientific research community and it was exciting to see patient's conditions improve from direct application of Dr Chopra's own research and discoveries. Overall, this placement allowed me to further my own career in Medicine and I was extremely pleased to have been able to learn from one of the most experienced in the field in London.
