Sean, our tutor, was very sexist and outdated in the way he spoke and addressed some areas of the course, which came across as rude, and provided an uncomfortable learning environment. Diversity training would be beneficial in my opinion.
The use of guys and lads when addressing the group, or discussing workers on site was particularly unprofessional.
He was also very inappropriate when discussing unisex toilets on site and pregnant people, expressing his opinion which was both derogatory and unnecessary to the course.
