despite connecting the new controller to the blanket, the controller got very hot and stopped working, although this is probably due to a fault within the blanket circuitry I would have thought that a fail safe device should be fitted in the controller that would prevent the controller from being rendered unserviceable when connected to faulty blanket, most disappointing
