For travelers outside the European time zones, Suntransfers is a not a good choice for transfer service.
Their free cancelation policy of 48-hours prior is really misleading. If an airline cancels it flight last minute and you have to reschedule pick-up - Suntransfer considers it a cancelation/rebooking. So you not only lose your original payment, but have to pay more to reschedule for new date & time.
I am Chicago-based travel consultant and I booked suntransfer service for London Heathrow for Sunday morning. Client's flight departure from Newark was on Saturday. Due to weather problems, United Airlines rescheduled client's flight to depart on Sunday, arrive on Monday in Heathrow.
When client tried to reschedule with Suntransfer for Monday pick-up, she was told that it was not possible because the assigned driver is not available for the new date & time. This doesn't make sense. I thought I reserved and paid for a transfer nor a specific driver. What would Suntransfer do if the driver is unable to perform the pick-up as originally booked?
So now the client is left with having to book a new transfer for 100euros and lose the 100euros already paid.
