I have written this review after using Start Rescue's website to buy breakdown cover. I have not yet experienced Start Rescue's performance at helping me after a breakdown. 1998-2020 I used the AA. Very expensive but gave excellent service (actually used them 3 times). 2020-2023 I used Green Flag because they were significantly cheaper than AA but, because I didn't have any breakdowns, I didn't experience the quality of their service. By Nov 2023 Green Flag's fees were approaching the AA's. For that reason I switched to Start Rescue. I paid £178 for 3 cars, for the top level of cover excluding travel on continent. (AA quoted £320, Green Flag £288.) Also, and very importantly for me, Start Rescue covers vehicles more than 16 years old. The website was easy to use. I have bought cover for the 3 cars in my family. Only one little niggle is that the website didn't make it clear that I would have to add my 3rd vehicle after receiving the documents for the first 2 vehicles. I don't have any experience yet of Start Rescue's performance at the roadside. Which? magazine gives a good report, which encouraged me to dump the AA and Green Flag.
