Matt Lambert
Hi. I recently had my ears microsuctioned and my ears are now wax free which means that my hearing is back to normal and I can be happier in life generally without the constant blocked ear/deafness cycle. On my first visit I paid £120 for both ears but due to an ear infection in one of my ears it could not be microsuctioned fully. The work on one of my ears was successful though which was really positive and I found the practitioner to be supportive and more importantly sensitive as she regularly checked in with regards to whether I was in pain (I wasn't at any point). I returned a week later and the infection had cleared up and my other ear was successfully microsuctioned. I felt it was a bit unfair that I was charged an additional £80 despite having already paid £120 for both ears to be done. Whilst on my first visit some wax was cleared from my infected ear this made zero difference to my life as I spent the whole week completely deaf in that ear. Personally I feel that it wasn't my fault my ear was infected and that I had to return to the clinic, I'm assuming that had both ears been fine on my first visit they would have both been cleared at a cost of £120 therefore saving me £80. I feel that I was unfairly penalised in many ways for having an ear infection that prevented the microsuction being done which then resulted in additional cost. So in fact I paid £200 for both ears to be done. I can't fault the work carried out and the professionalism but being charged an additional £80 to some degree tainted the experience as I felt it was unnecessary and I had already paid £120 for both ears to be cleared. Thanks
