I was thrilled to be offered an appointment for only three days' time, having been waiting weeks for an NHS appointment. But I was disappointed to be left waiting for half an hour, with no apology from the receptionist until we asked her what was going on - we should have been told something like "sorry there is a delay, the previous patient has taken up more time than expected".
When I eventually had the consultation, the procedure was fully explained and then carried out, and my hearing is vastly improved. Aftercare advice was given.
