I have moved house many times and always hired a van and had help from friends. This time I decided to use a professional removal company. I wish I hadn't. The removal men seemed to be more concerned about speed than taking care of my possessions. Furniture was damaged. The cost for this service was nearly £500 to move me just up the road. The guys arrived at 8.00 and finished by 1 o'clock, which included them sitting outside my new house for at least 30 min whilst they had a break. I would never use a removal company again, will stick with hiring a van with friends helping, at least my friends treat my possessions with respect. Very disappointed.
