I ordered a part that the Whitegoods site showed as being compatible with my product. The part arrived and whilst it looked similar did not function correctly. When I contacted them regarding this issue I was told that:
'Knowing Samsung, the part number will have been changed a few times and, many retailers make up their own numbers so you can't price compare, a thing we do not do'
'They don't even use genuine part numbers so you can't price compare so there's actually no way to check what they give you is correct or not. '
'So, getting to someone with actual technical knowledge is nearly impossible for most members of the public.'
......bah!
Everything I can find online indicates that the website is inaccurate. Whitegood has been unable to provide information with providence that the website is correct.
The website led me to order a part that is not compatible with my freezer and will not allow the part to be returned for refund.
The part supplied is not fit for the purpose it was supplied for - which is to replace the model specified on your website. It is not as advertised.
I am left consulting with my credit card company and trading standards - AVOID!
