I ordered my Kia Sportage in March 2022, completing the Order Form in which the part-exchange value of my vehicle was recorded. The salesman I was dealing with left the company. Any subsequent contact regarding possible delivery of the vehicle was instigated by myself, with no updates coming from Petch. I was then informed (December) that the vehicle was on its way, given an expected arrival date in the UK and possible collection date, along with name of the salesperson who would be completing the sale. A phone call was received saying the vehicle was now with Petch, but that the value of the vehicle I was putting in in part-exchange had dropped (significantly) and the balance to complete the sale/purchase was now greater than when the order was placed. At no time was it pointed out to me that the value of my vehicle would be reviewed due to the time-lapse. Fortunately I was in the position to be able to meet the increase cost to change but am disappointed that this was not pointed out to me at the time the order was placed, and there is nothing in the order form that explains this although the form does state what happens should the cost of the car being purchased increase. While I am delighted with my new car, the process has been poor leaving me a touch disappointed. I have raised these issues with Petch but have been left with unanswered questions at the time of writing this review. I have given a four-star rating but this could easily have been three.
