I had the worst experience I’ve ever encountered at Scrivens Maidenhead branch, I was sold under pressure a Starkey Hearing Aid price £2400 for one. I was not told the hearing aid was old technology despite talking to the audiologist about new technology. I was not given a follow up appointment, I was extremely unhappy with the aid which was not helping with the areas I needed. I made an appointment to go back, the audiologist I saw had left Scrivens, I found out that a new Starkey aid came out approximately two weeks after my purchase. At no time did the audiologist tell me a new aid was coming out, he did inform me that there was one being tested but would not be available until middle/end of 2024. I returned my aid for refund on 7/12/2023. I was informed by the branch manager that she didn’t have the authority to refund me, only head office could do that. Despite an email (not answered) and 2 telephone calls to customer service I still have not received my refund, just told it’s being processed. I ask how long does it take to refund money in this age of instant banking. Today is 30/12/23 how much longer do I wait until I either have to get solicitors involved or small claims court. Worst customer service I’ve come across.
