My glasses frame (less than 8 months old) came apart while I was wearing them today, the staff in Scrivens Opticians, Hallgate, Cottingham, said they were unable to repair them - my only option (other than repairing with superglue or Sellotape) was to order a new frame, presumably the same as the one which has just collapsed, for £139, and they would transfer the lenses across. What is the point in having a pair of glasses that last less than 8 months?
Doubtful if I will visit Scrivens again, for eye tests or glasses.
