‘One of the hardest things about being a writer is putting your work out there for people to see and knowing when it is ready to send to people you believe are of importance. When I submitted my script to ScriptUp it was a weight off my shoulders knowing that I was getting impartial and personal feedback from professional script readers who I had no affiliation with and that I had nothing to lose from it. The feedback I got for my feature film ‘Trawler’ was meticulously detailed and offered a breakdown of the utmost seriousness which in itself gave me a lot of confidence. It is crucial to receive professional feedback especially at the early stages of your career but difficult to come by and ScriptUp has provided me with a lifeline that I can rely on. It is a league above any production company that had read my previous work where script readers are usually unpaid interns who are rotated monthly and unable to give complete analysis and impartial feedback due to their inexperience. ScriptUp has spurred me onto to not only write more but push harder at writing a new draft of my feature film and I will most definitely send it back to be evaluated once more’.
